surely sharks v dragons could be played at anz in week 3.. if that happens

why?

easier for both sets of fans to drive down southern cross or take one train to central, rather than clogging up King Georges road/centenary drive or a change of trains from central to Olympic Park.

Looking at the draw they will have to be the Friday prelim which means they will be up against the AFL again.

Edit:

Scratch that. Looks like AFL MCG prelim would be Saturday based on their draw but there is a chance both could be at MCG

richmond are seeded 1 and will be friday night.

likewise if roosters win tonight, they should get the friday night prelim....only way it should be a melbourne prelim is if cronulla win tonight

the NRL did a great job with their week 1 scheduling and accounting for fairness. i hope they don't drop the ball and discard placings and advantages that come with it after a 25 round season

Brisbane/saints will have to play next sat to ensure no less than 6 days break thus it makes sense that winner of souths vs Broncos/saints would play the prelim on the following saturday.

Brisbane update for those that give a shit.

About 100 seats left in both 726 and 717.

Looking at level 7, Caxton st end, each bay has sold up to row 72. Corners I believe have now sold.

If the rest of these sell out and no restricted view are put on sale, we are looking at 45-46k.

If restricted view are sold tomorrow, which is possible, 48k+.

Raining (small showers) every day this week hasn't helped, though hopefully the perfect day tomorrow will get all keen.

Anything over 40K looks and sounds amazing. Would be incredible to see 45K+. Anything above that is gravy.

Thank Christ the broncos ended up getting a week 1 final.

Good shit. Will look good on Tv and at the ground.

I’ve sat in row 76 in the nthn end and the view was f**ked. Row 72 might get the roof trusses out of way to see the big screens for the replays though. Wouldn’t want to sit any higher in the ends (not that there’s many more rows)

Yeah its not the best up there hey, my rule is no higher than 65, unless its an absolute must!

But I am waiting and hoping for restricted view to come on sale so i can snare some in 301 for mega cheap. Otherwise i might have to wear my hiking boots ha.

Shit, you haven’t bought any yet?

Wonder if they’ll do the standing ticket thing again?

Posting from ANZ.

Not great. It’s my first time here, looks like it might cap out at 17-19,000?

I’m going to post a lengthy post later, but for a first time visitor to ANZ (in the Members section, yewww) - this is a weird stadium.

I can see it being incredible with the bottom bowl pretty full, so what - 35,000/40,000 here - but at the moment, it’s just a dull funky vibe.

When its full its good. Even a 30k crowd can be ok there too.
