so
you've been told now , I dunno.. 15 times.. it doesn't count as 2 crowds & it is calculated correctly by halving it for an average
but you keep posting this utter rubbish

you & Stallion , cuts off the same geniused cloth ....

? Don't know how you factored me into that way of thinking. A double header must be counted as two games!? It's logical and should be a matter of course. You have some real issues Raiderdave!

I don't think the Brisbane double header will pull many more than 34-38k. Ticket sales shyte at the moment. Why?

-Double headers are tacky if overplayed, IE one every 5 years is ok.
-Brisbane members do not get in for free as it is an away game for us (which is fair) but definitely effects the crowd figure.

4 Sydney clubs with a combined membership base north of 77k can’t pull 30k between them to a couple of Saturday arvo/evening games with dirt cheap tickets. OK it was a bit wet but there is plenty of cover at the stadium. As much as I’d love to see the ANZ rebuild go ahead this certainly doesn’t help the business case...

And all this talk about lack of promotion - as a member I get multiple emails from the club ahead of every Melbourne game, surely it’s not just the Storm doing this?

It’s not played until May?

At this point of the season, compared to both 2016 & 2017 double headers, we are well behind with pre-sales.

I remember three weeks in to the 2016 season, restricted views and standing room tickets were being sold. Last year we were at least selling well into level 6 & 7.

At this stage we have sold parts of level 6, but barely into level 5, level 5 has now been removed from sale till level 3 sells.

i think bulldogs v souths next friday could get 40k, but tigers v parramatta will struggle for 30k

No excuses for a poor double header crowd, those wanted cheap tickets and double headers yet still played in front of an empty stadium.

Like I said earlier 3 teams without a win and 2 teams fans refuse to travel.

The Nrl would have banked on Parra and Souths fans making up the majority of the crowd and their form was not good in fact Parras was terrible. .

Considering it rained as well 30k is with in reach next double header in Sydney and most people would say 30k is a pass mark..

30k for 2 games would be pathetic, clubs had decades of history couldn't even half fill a stadium with cheap tickets. Double header crowds should be way bigger than 30k, 4 clubs all those fans no excuses the fact Perth/brisbane show what a real double header crowd is.

should get 3 crowds around 30 to 35K for easter
ANZ's 2 games & the one at Suncorp

15K at Townsville hopefully
same at Shark park , Wollongong & Allianz & maybe 10K at Brookvale

so around 160 to 170K for the round

Easter 2017 got 174,013

I’ve heard some geniused shit on this forum but the bringing back the bears will increase NRL crowds overall is up there with I dunno what. Something.

When are they going to learn that NO ONE wants to go to ANZ?

Me and my mates had nothing on, all had leave passes but the discussion was about which pub to watch it in. Attending the game in person wasn’t even discussed until someone jagged a corporate box with a few free beers and even then we didn’t go. 3 trains from the shire? No thanks. An hour long bus ride? No thanks. A $65 uber? No thanks? The supporters bus had like 10 People in it and ran at a loss.

That’s just the Sharks. I imagine Manly people felt the same.

All the rebuilds in the world are not going to improve the attendance for regular season games.

I wonder how many of the club members both Souths and Parra attended. Ive been receiving emails, txt messages reminding me about the game and information on how to get to the game, where to sit and discounts at the game. Not sure whether Souths members received the same sort of information however for non club members and Manly and Sharks fans I don't know whether there much advertisement of the "Sydney Double header".

Anz will never work for teams based in manly or Cronulla but every other team that has moved there has dramatically increased their average crowds. There is a place for the bigger stadiums for the bigger Sydney derbies and double headers, and there is a place for suburban grounds for teams with support predominately in their local area (manly, Cronulla & Penrith) and games verses out of town teams.

And all of this is despite how bad a stadium anz is currently for rectangular sports. A modern, world class rectangular stadium will increase crowds further! It’s not the location it’s the viewing experience.

a double header involving Manly & Cronulla at ANZ is again another example of poor scheduling , or poor choice of teams that should be involved

Bulldogs V Tigers
& Souths V Parramatta

now
then you get 40K plus more likely because you get all the tennents together

Thought the crap vitriol would be coming out from the usual suspects. The attendance was poor. I listen to Sky sports radio and did not hear one dedicated interview/advert promoting any deal concerned with this double header in Sydney. The marketing was poor! The weather, especially the leadup was inclement which does not help and three teams were coming off losses which isnt helpful with the fickle fans within many clubs. Reinvigorating the code and this vast region with the Central Coast Bears franchise will send a positive and profitable message to neutral fans. Atm the ceaseless talk of relocations, mergers etc is not helping rugby league's image in its foundation heartland city/region. This area which impacts two other nearby regions is hurting as a result of the macabre dealings witnessed and realised from the destruction filled "agreement" and decisions arising from poor administrators in the super league fiasco. Shame on you PR ! Still putting the "smiling assassin " stance against a suffering code in these regions which are referred to as "Sydney ". The negativity is hurting the code!

What the f**k is this utter drivel.

Yeah I think with perfect weather Brisbane could draw 20+ for this match. So long as the ticket prices are cheap.

For the Titans though it is a good idea to go rural, try win some young fans. Ash Taylor is from Toowoomba too, not that that really matters but 500+ there would be there for him ha.
