yes we are stuck with it
but lets let the NRL know at every opportunity possible , it sux

Or let’s try and turn that frown upside down lol

We are stuck with two shtty spots for 5 years so let’s see if we can’t get creative to make them work as best we can. Perfect motivation to get more games across nz, opportunity to have a real focus on getting families to games.

No idea how we make Thursday’s attractive though!

our attendance culture is poor as it is
lets NOT give people any more reasons to get into the habit of not attending our games

You are delusional! So if a big crowd lobs up Friday week in Newcastle you will class it as a one off!? Then if another big crowd lobs up on another 6pm Friday night its an anomalie? If you think 6pm Friday is worse than 6pm on the other working week nights then you are truelly deluded. Especially if the crowds lob up! As you will deny reality if the crowds are big! That's poor form! Please note that the first seven rounds of last season were significantly rain effected. If the weather is good I suggest an improvement all round.

a ONE off....
due to the renewed optimism in Newcastle & playing their biggest rival for round one
zip to do with the time slot
&
if there are any after that ( there were none in 2017) , lets see what the circumstances are

Have to agree with Dave here, 6pm is great when you’re there and it’s not that late on a Friday night. But.... any time slot on the weekend is better because they are friendly for just about everyone. I think this Newcastle is gonna be great despite the time slot not because of it. Just because a time slot works better in certain areas, doesn’t mean that it works better than the weekend slots in those areas.

Have not mentioned anything whatsoever about other weekend timeslots! ? I have mentioned that Friday 6pm is better than Thursday or Monday and any other weekday. That's the thrust of all this argument.

it is
they're( mondays & thursdays ) about as appealing as having aids & dementia at the same time
6pm Fridays , only marginally better

Well Raiderdave! We agree! So we have been dribbling for this long and actually agree. Amazing. That's my whole stance. If their has to be a weeknight game Friday at 6pm can kick the round off. We agree it's better than other weekdays so that will do me.

Supposedly 1 person short of equaling the Record

Still looks to be plenty of room in the ground for more fans. Apparently the Knights trial in Maitland tonight was capped at 6000 . The ground would hold 10000! Just don't get the logic these days. A full house should be a full house!

Mudgee was one over the record set in 2013 by eels vs tits and no there doesn’t look like plenty of room looked full to the brim

Dissagree. When you see grass on the hill that indicates some space. Think that's a fair comment . It wasn't jampacked!

Didn’t see much grass myself.

There was! Definitely enough to not say it was jampacked! When I see no grass its jampacked. In fact I'll go a bit further and refer to what the eastern hill and end hills had in the late 80s &90s in Newcastle. Standing room only. Now that's what I call packed and a full house!
