Why do you think more success is expected than being a fringe top 8 team? Because outside of our NRL team shit is better than ever.

Our NRL roster was the best combination of depth, experience and youth weve had arguably ever in 2016. We have underachieved with the resoueces available

I'll let it be. I disagree. Can't be bothered (don't have the energy) to cover things i've already said. It becomes like a lazy susan round and round.

I am a punter like everyone else here. I am a member. Do you honestly think the club is worried about a little forum that might be critical of them.

I wasn't looking for drama. I just didn't want to repeat myself again regarding my views. I believe the club is in an OK position, if Hook underperforms he will be let go, (I agree with Buzz, he'll probably get till round 10)

As PantherDaz said earlier the structures and pathways are in place throughout the club. These as you know set up by Gus.

I honestly am not worried about yesterday and what happened there, i am concerned about today, and the prospects for tomorrow. I believe far too much time is spent looking over the shoulder, (at times with rose coloured glasses, especially when discussing Clearys time as coach)

I don't have an agenda either against or for the club. I am a member who gets down for games when I can.

It is the same same though. Some people are like talking to a wall. What is the point? I mean you could point out the NSW Cup winning the Comp. looking even better. Adding a proven match winner but it comes to nothing really. There is very few you can actually talk too on here

I see it as being 'the truth' but hey 'truth' can be an individual thing. I could go all Psychological on you, but I won't.

Funny how Bryce complained about being moved to 6 on occassions, and having to train there. Why oh why then does his instagram tag have a 6 after his name.

What pisses me off most is Gus has spent 7 years rebuilding and we arent any closer to a premiership today than we were 3 seasons ago. We built slowly and steadily only for any progress we made to be stopped in 2014 basically.

Create whatever excuse you want. But in 2011 we brought Gus in and the closest we have been to a premiership in 6 seasons was 2014. 3 full seasons since and somehow fringe top 8 is supposed to be acceptable? Bullshit

Gus did all the right things with the lower grades. With the facilities. His recruitment up until Trent Merrin was pretty f**king good. But since the moment he sacked Cleary and hired Hook the club has stopped building toward anything. Shits just happening and we're just reacting.

Sacking Cleary for a coach who cant win against the top teams was a mistake. You dont sack someone unless you're replacing them with someone better. Cleary was more likely to lead us to a premiership than Hook. Id say Cleary was a 10% chance vs Hook at 1%... and thats based on miracles happening.

Sacking Ivan would be fine if we didnt go for a proven mediocre coach. We should have either gone for an established supercoach. Or given a potential supercoach a chance (Brennan).

Tigers wanted Hook before signing Jason Taylor. He was all but signed. They met him for the job interview and were so unimpressed by him he lost a job that was basically guaranteed and instead went with Jason Taylor. Meanwhile we give him the job without so much as an interview.

You speak a lot of truth. I think what Gus was hoping to get from Griffin was he coming in and bringing the Broncos blueprint for success and changing our club that way. Gus makes no secret he is a large admirer of the Broncos organisation.

It just hasn’t worked out that way at all. Not even close.

Let’s see how the first month of the season goes though.

I still firmly believe if Gus is being so involved at even coaching level, he should just pull the trigger on Griffin and take over coaching himself ffs.

Lastly I enjoy the discussion on here because everyone has different opinions. Yesterday I was arguing with Franklin and today I'm agreeing with some well made comments of his. I'm happy to discuss a difference of opinion and even be proven wrong. Just tired of the passive aggressive comments directed at "negative"people.

It's funny because we all are the exact same. We all think there is a reason why we aren't top 4 we just disagree on the "what". So in actual fact we are all in the "negative" group.

I think his media commitments and age are preventing it.

Not even when I said Wal will likely play origin? Sure I'd prefer Katoa/Egan but that's hypothetical. Wal is our captain and will lead from the front as always.

He has turned us into the Broncos or better in most areas.

Broncos just have a higher standard for NRL success and a better coach. They also move heaven and earth to shelter their players.

We should follow their lead again and axe Hook. Or atleast demote him to assistant coach. He can be useful in a lesser role.
