So who takes over?
That’s the big question.

Brennan was the obvious choice for the club keeping in mind their declaration of investing in people and players coming through our system. I was very disappointed when he left but I have no doubts the pressure for results drove the decision that only an “experienced “ coach would do, no matter how misguided it may have turned out.

There are a few that don’t have jobs like des, Maguire, Toovey, Daley but none are obvious choices.
I would probably vomit if Daley was announced, des and mag failed dramatically over the last few years and unless they head hunt from the UK options are limited.

I was more thinking Gus's role type of thing. I know we tried to get White from the Broncos. It is easy to say he should go harder to come up with options

Brennan was the obvious choice, but that ship has sailed. I said last year Jason Demetriou and I'll stick by that choice.
Des did a terrible job with retention and recruitment at the dogs, and Maguire got absolutely everyone off side at Souths.

Who runs the front office in that case? We don't want to lose the junior development we have in place

I like the idea of giving someone with fresh ideas a go. Demetriou’s record looks good.

I'm not in a position to know who'd be good or who's available. But the board should.

I get that too. That is my thoughts on it too we can vote the board out. They know this so I have no doubt when a better option comes they will take it or they will be voted out.

Can we though? There was a pretty concerted effort a few years back and it failed. They're fairly well entrenched.

The problem is most that whinge aren't members or not enough think it isn't that bad.

Easy done get a Facebook group going and go from there. Enough like minded people and they go

He has turned us into the Broncos or better in most areas.

Broncos just have a higher standard for NRL success and a better coach. They also move heaven and earth to shelter their players.

We should follow their lead again and axe Hook. Or atleast demote him to assistant coach. He can be useful in a lesser role.
Partly true, i do believe that the success they have had would create higher expectations than the management of Panthers . I think that is unavoidable, but over time will change.

However, didn't the Bronco 's also give Hook 3 years? They also had Bennett lined up to step in, which I'm sure made the decision easier.

That helps. If Bellamy or Green become available no current coach stacks up and should be punted.. Hard to say if they would of kept him if Bennett wasn't coming

Demetriou’s would be good or even take a risk with the walker brothers.
New ideas and back up plans are important, but it’s all irrelevant until Hook has completely failed.
We currently are still a chance to go undefeated this season so we will have to wait and see but I hope someone is cooking up a good plan B just in case.

The Walker bros would suit our club’s natural attacking style. Don't know about Demetriou.
