It is just disappointing that some guys have been less than impressive and get a run over others that have gone better. What is the point of trials in that case?

I think most of us knew Luai would get the nod. I am scratching my head that Crichton can't break into the back 5.
Ivan's playing it safe if he goes with
Aekins
Mansour
Naden
Whare
To'o
Luai

On the plus side if the tough start does eventuate Burton and Crichton won't be fair off getting a call up.

Not sure Naden os going to get us 150 plus metres bringing it back from our own end so Mansour for me but other than that you may not be far off.

Those meters are good, but it’s not enough to make up for his lack of impact in attack & his problems in the air.

Naden isn’t a small guy either, I think he can do decent meters.

People read too much into trial form for mine. There’s a lot to happen yet.

Not just that. We have a vacancy at 6. We have a vacancy at 1.
Whare was dropped it took a Mansour injury to have him comeback in where he was practically invisible out there.

So we had plenty of things to put in place. So trials this was key for seeing how the team worked in different circumstances

Well the proof will be in the pudding.

If Ivan gets it wrong we could easily start the year 0 for 6, we do have a difficult draw.

Maybe API and a new attacking structure is all we need to score points.

If we are failing he can then bring some new players in to claim we are in a rebuilding year.

For Ivan the start is important because his recent record isn’t flash, for the team I don’t think it matters as much. We aren’t a genuine contender, once again we find ourselves as one of the most inexperienced teams in the comp. It’s going to be a while yet until we’re top 4 material.

I think Crichton will almost certainly be in the back 5 somewhere. Burton will be in the side somewhere I think also.
