Watching the replay again, I think you're all being harsh on George Jennings - the kick was so perfectly placed, that George Jennings had to shuffle backwards to adjust for a split second, and that split second was enough to give Sivo a massive advantage to score the match-winning try.

I thought George had a good game. Ran hard and defended strongly. Was unlucky on the sivo tries

I stayed up and watched the post game in the sheds and noticed Gutho had his ankle strapped after he removed his boots and socks.
Yep, they could have taken off the external strapping and re-strapped it properly at half time. But a lot of players do strap their ankles regardless (as a preventative measure) so that taping might have been done before kick off.

D.Brown re signed for 650k. I assumed it was for each year including this one. But yes it is possible it goes up each year.
Sivo signed a big deal. Based on last years performance he doesn't get an upgrade. Based on rnd 1 he doesn't. Based on Thursday night he potentially does. Do we base someone's contract on one game though?
A lot of the judgement on player value is taken from their pre-season performance. I don't think the coaching staff are often surprised by a player's form in a given season.

he's pretty mobile though, after the game has just had I would like to give him another opportunity, if it doesn't work for what ever reason then at least we tried

I mean his crashing defense was awesome its just a matter if he can read the opposing centre, wasn't really much lateral movement from Olam probabaly due to the conditions
The one time Olam did put some footwork on it drew Ferguson and JAC streaked away:

If ever there was any question about the imbecility of people on social media, the Felise Kaufusi incident will cast aside all doubts about the sheer lack of intelligence on social media.

The amount of people with sub-par intelligence, defending Kaufusi, and saying idiotic things such as, "It couldn't have been deliberate - he wasn't even looking at Matterson!" and, "Kaufusi was just trying to wrap the ball up!"

There is such a phenomenon as being contrarian, but this is simply ridiculous.

I saw someone say "players don't go out there to injure other players". That may be true for the rest of the comp but for over a decade the storm have employed tactics to purposefully injure the opposition. And when they're losing they ramp up the efforts to injure ten fold.

Feliese is being ripped a new one in Today's Sunday Telegraph. Basically saying he also "deliberately" put Cordner out of the game.
