The Game 2022 Crowd Watch

The WT apparently rate well on TV. Having eyes on TV screens / phones is now more valuable than bums on seats. For that reason, they shouldn't be losing their licence.

We have a large fan base, it's just a mess of a club though. Need new owners to change the direction because it's still just a dodgy , half arsed Balmain Wests conglomerate. We don't really belong in the NRL at the moment.

Below avg, but scg is a bit sht for rl.

14, 000 is reasonable playing a team out of Sydney, no trains from the Newcastle Central Coast area at the moment either may have stopped a few Newcastle fans from attending. You are right though SCG shit to watch RL but 14,000 is still a solid crowd.

They also haven’t played finals in years but. They certainly shouldn’t be playing out of town teams like storm away from leichardt or Campbelltown

I think the denial around the state of NSW with natural disasters and the pandemic is some first class cope in this thread.

If you don't think either of those issues will impact on crowds in 2022 you're cooked.

Do you work for nine or fox? Lol
bums on seats could be far more valuable for the clubs.

It's a waste of a licence. We've got a strong Eastern Suburbs Tigers unable to use their identity in the NRL because the Western Suburbs Magpies are forced to call themselves the Tigers. Take away the Magpies and the joint venture would be dead, yet the NRL persist with it.
There isn't one measurable that Eastern Suburbs Brisbane is a more valuable commodity than the Wests Tigers.

given fine weather they'll have to close the gates early against parra at Leichardt( 20K ) & it won't really matter how well they're going
so it'll look good , but... they'll make about $10,000 profit for the entire day

play it at ANZ to the same sized crowd minimum with good ticket deals for Parra members , wine & dine their sponsors in proper corporate facilities instead of offering them party pies & sausage rolls & ensure they're treated well for their support.
& they are $100,000 in front & sponsors already signing up for 2023

Ive met & know Old Balmain & Wests fans from all over Australia & overseas , Wests Tigers are a club with lots of fans , just because they're not at games following this modern day rabble doesn't mean they don't exist

I've never met anyone anywhere who follows the east brisbane tigers

Trains running late all round Sydney with little warning. I got in late. How did you fare, horrie?

I usually get the train from St Peters station into Central then light rail from there but seeing all the trains we out of whack i walked down to Marrickville Metro and got the 352 bus up to Paddington Town hall, took a bit longer but still a pretty easy trip for me.

It's incredible how many people don't understand this and just want nostalgia

That's fine for fans but the club should be better than just wanting that shit.
I'm not suggesting abandoning suburban venues altogether but if we want to understand why the game isn't bigger and attracting more fans and sponsors than it does, then the answer is staring you in the face.

Big games @ big venues. Limit the use of suburban grounds to a few times a year and they'll pack out and make the money back. Otherwise you end up making a loss at both ends.
