Nah, tickets were still being sold at the gate and there were seats dotted all over the stadium empty. Great crowd though and atmosphere first half was awesome. Probably loudest game nrl game ive been to in australia in that first half.
They must have sold tickets of members who gave up their seats

They need to rebuild the ET (main) stand. It should run the length of the field ideally
someone said they're moving to the new sfs for 2 years while that poop hole is finally fixed up , so i guess they're expecting some of the 800 mill stadium plan to do that . They really need new 100 metre stands on both sides & one at the botany bay end too . 20K seats
job done

Their fans won't follow them to the new sfs unfortunately & they'll play to 10K crowds there mainly , but... their corporates will explode . They will actually make $$

they should encourage the members of other clubs who also use the sfs , reciprocal rights deals etc, if they're smart ... they'll do ok there & be in a strong position when they return to the shire , thats if thats the plan

but to do nothing much with that heap they call a home ground just can't be allowed

The NRL are wasting their money here. I honestly think Sharks, Saints and a new southern A League franchise should share a new purpose-built stadium on the Shire/Wollongong border. Main highway and rail infrastructure already there.

A crowd of that size in perfect conditions between 2 in form sides in the modern day is unacceptable. Capacity aside ( thats the sharks fault for allowing development to reduce the size of the ground to a NSW cup venue.
Should have & would have drawn over 20K 5 years ago so its not a dig at sharks fans , they're there , they don't have a venue they can all attend for games like that & thats as i said ... unacceptable

you do realise once the development is finished the capacity will go up? It is safety issues because of the current construction which currently limits the capacity. Shark park isn’t ideal, but at least get your facts right.

what , from 11500 to 12000 ?
please , there is nowhere to increase the capacity to an acceptable level unless they tear down & construct entire grandstands

the place is presently a shit hole
thats the only fact I need to get right & I did

The NRL and is obsession of wasting tax payers money on upgrades that don't pull the crowds in.
Isn't Pointsbet owned by, and the upgraded funded by the Sharks' Leagues club?

The current capacity is 12,000 because of construction restrictions.

The general capacity of the ground, which will likely be restored in time for the 2023 season, is 19-20k.
