The tigers need to just pick either commbank or Allianz. The diehard traditionalists need to stop clinging to Leichhardt. It's over.Great crowd, amazing what a state of the art stadium easy to get to can deliver!
idk... life occuringWhy do members not show up
theres a good questionWhat team has had the most sell out home games this season?
I can see through you like grandmas's underwear mate......What team has had the most sell out home games this season?
With 12k capacity, surely Sharks come into the conversationtheres a good question
Penrith or Parra i'll guess
manly have had a few
warriors one
cowboys one too
Roosters will get one week after next
Broncos missed out by about 50 tickets on Friday , but a lot of members didn;t show
Same for the Raiders a few weeks ago , about 100 tickets shy but lousy weather saw a lot of members bail
oh yeaWith 12k capacity, surely Sharks come into the conversation
Lots of reasons, people buy season tickets but can only attend certain games, lots of family have sports on Saturdays, I think 26500 is a great crowd against a team who had nothing to play for but I would say 30% of the crowd would of been doggiesWhy do members not show up
Working with Macarthur FC to eventually get Campbelltown rebuilt or upgraded makes sense surely. Play majority of games there and 1, maybe 2 at Leichardt. The tigers need to just pick either commbank or Allianz. The diehard traditionalists need to stop clinging to Leichhardt. It's over.
looking every bit of 12K in WollongongNRL crowd predictions round 23:
Rabbitohs v Panthers 14k
Cowboys v Warriors 13k
Broncos v Storm 44k
Eels v Bulldogs 26k
Sea Eagles v Sharks 15k
Roosters v Tigers 13k
Dragons v Titans 12k
Knights v Raiders 18k
Yes obviously RL has more fans in total but we are simply comparing the Swans with a single RL club. 95% of those watching the Swans wood be Swans fans, but most of viewers of that game would not follow Parra. It is impossible to work out exactly but you would need to divide the NRL ratings by five at least.swans support is very thin past those at the ground
the TV audience last week was the same as the attendance
both 45K .. maybe a few more on STV but not many as all of their games are on FTA
thats ridiculous
50/50 approx
in comparison
Parra Souths
23K at the ground
180K on FTA & another 180K on STV in Sydney
6/94
The available metrics to compare clubs is crowds, memberships and finances. North is similar on crowds but ahead on members and revenue/sponsorship to Storm. No way...Storm are bigger than North Melbourne and are rapidly gaining on Footscary, Melbourne and St Kilda
Even though RL fans don't make our sport look good by not showing up, Souths, Canterbury and Parramatta are bigger than the Swans. The biggest club is the Wests Tigers as a merger of two already popular clubs, but all their fans are in hiding.
League is mostly a TV game though so it's not as focussed on memberships and crowds as AFL clubs are. If you could measure fox/kayo numbers I would imagine the Storm would annihilate North Melbourne. Also interesting that the Storm have more facebook followers than every AFL club and the Broncos have almost double the amount of followers on FB than the highest AFL club. The available metrics to compare clubs is crowds, memberships and finances. min Sydney, the Swans crowds ad memberships are 50% above any RL club and revenue and sponsorship is way more than double.
The rest is just guessing.
Storm have done very well here, but the Swans are twice as big as Storm on any measure. Time may change that of course.
look at the difference in views of NRL and AFL highlights on YouTube.League is mostly a TV game though so it's not as focussed on memberships and crowds as AFL clubs are. As much as they are our mortal enemies, I've got to give the Bulldogs fanbase credit for yesterday's great crowd at CommBank.Lots of reasons, people buy season tickets but can only attend certain games, lots of family have sports on Saturdays, I think 26500 is a great crowd against a team who had nothing to play for but I would say 30% of the crowd would of been doggies
