With last nights crowd the Eels are averaging over 20k at Commbank this year and 19k including the Darwin game. When was the last time a Sydney team averaged over 20k ? Souths 2014?
Sydney clubs 20k or close last 10 seasons:

Sydney 2013 - 19,368
Canterbury 2013 - 19,590
Souths 2013 - 22,261
Souths 2014 - 19,888
Canterbury 2015 - 19,684
Parramatta 2019 - 18,396
Parramatta 2022 - ?????

The difference between yesterday's and today's SCG crowds could not be more stark.
Yes but the AFL only had one club in Sydney for 30 years. Near on every AFL supporter in Sydney goes for the Swans. Just like why the Storm have a membership larger than every Sydney club!

Counting the Giants, they have 2 clubs. We have 9! If we only had 2 clubs, they'd average 60k each.

Therefore, the AFL is still a minnow in Sydney!

The Broncos v Storm game is selling like wild. Restricted view are on sale, as are remaining unsold stadium memberships. Diamond sections on level 7 are selling slow, because $540 for 2 adults and 2 children is far too much to sit on the top tier.

Stadium members and corporate sales will be the key here, but the 44,300 general public seats have very nearly sold out.

$135 for a seat on the top deck in a regular season NRL game is a bit outrageous, for that money I'd want a sort of a lounge with food and drink provided as well as a reserved seat with a great view

If the Dragons V Titans draws 12K , i'll eat my hat & yours
5K tops if it was at kogarah
luckily its WIN , so 7K

bit generous with the Parr V Dogs
23K

& as SLR has indicated , probs a bit conservative with Brisb v Melb

I think Broncos v Melbourne will be around 43-46k because corporate packages will be a hard slog. We are competing with the yuppies that will be over the road for the sold out Lions v Melbourne Demons at the Gabba.

Apparently the GA bays are capped at 80% capacity to allow for 'some' social distancing so they might look a little underwhelming. Anyway, the game has about 400 tickets left, so it's a good result in any case.

what's the Gabba's capacity? Isn't it 36,000 with that screen on one flank

That Brisbane can have two sellout crowds totalling over 80K, at exactly that same time shows why the second club is needed and should make the Dolphins very, very optimistic.
