So if you assume linear ticket sales between the times of these two posts, they’ve been selling approximately 292 tickets an hour, which means the pax should hit 54,000 by kickoff.
If the pax excludes Accor Stadium members, we could be looking at a crowd of 60k.
Hopefully the weather holds off.
2001 Round 1 (double header) 54,833 at Accor is Penrith's other 50k+ crowd apart from the 2003 Grand Final. That's surely Penrith's 2nd best crowd ever to date and the first time they've cracked 50k in a game since the 2003 Grand Final
Penrith fanbase isn’t that big, good crowd anything over 50k is greatPR will whinge that 50k isn’t big enough
There was definitely more Penrith than Souths there tonight, more than 60%Penrith fanbase isn’t that big, good crowd anything over 50k is great
we haven’t seen PF crowd this big since 2014
I was in section 4, I reckon Panthers outnumbered Souths as well. There was definitely more Penrith than Souths there tonight, more than 60%
Didn't look that way on TV...looked even split if not more Souths. Especially given the way the ground emptied in the 10min prior to full time. But yes, a Souths fan in a black club polo or training shirt does look like a Penrith fanThere was definitely more Penrith than Souths there tonight, more than 60%
Good, for the nrl. You’d hope a club can muster at least 25k fans for a prelim final wouldn’t you?PR will whinge that 50k isn’t big enough
