A bit cheeky of me to suggest this, but I could almost guarantee you that these homophobes will enjoy sorting themselves off to some lesbian porn tonight.
It's just gay men that they hate.
Exactly. Inclusivity isn't a f**king belief, it's a right. Equality is a right. Pride round is not a 'gay agenda' as someone said, it's a movement to achieve equality.
I saw a great post on Twitter, where it said there would be a great irony if Manly go on to lose on the weekend, and the decision of these 7 led directly to a savage beating by 17 Cocks.
"Seeing it in a positive light. I fully respect those players choosing not to play and their right not to play, their religious beliefs. I would love, given the opportunity to sit around a table with those guys in the summer conversation with them."
That part nails it from Roberts. Great attitude to have it is the way forward
Well said Fitzy!!!For God’s sake, AFLW and Folau comparisons miss mark on Manly jersey saga
How many of the Manly seven could have looked Ian Roberts in the eye and told him they wouldn’t wear a rainbow jersey? The Sea Eagles could have done better.www.smh.com.au
would love to see the response of the 7 on that request.
actually, it would be great for the NRL to anonymously poll the RLPA and have any player who would object to a pride jersey be invited to the table along with any player who actively would like a pride jersey as well.
I think the conversation would be a lot more civil and understanding than people think
"Getting Bible Schooled on League Unlimited"I can't believe the bible is being quoted on LU and it isn't related to Josh Dugan in 2009.
Complex issue? What so complex about gays wanting to be treated like regular human beings with the same rights and freedoms as any other person.Obviously it's a complex issue that despite your best efforts can't be solved on a rugby league forum.
It was pretty fun going to a christian boarding school and numerous of the boys were referring to gay dudes as "sinning f*aggot's" but also discussing their favourite videos from welivetogether . com.why is this always the go to argument against religious types and sex?
like when SBW refused to wear a gambling sponser, the response wasn’t “oh I bet he secretly has a Queen of the Nile at home”. No one accuses Usman Khawaja of being a closeted alcoholic.
I wonder how much consultation is done with players for Women in League jerseys, or ANZAC Jerseys, or the indigenous jerseys, or even the regular home and away jerseys?
Why the f**k should they be consulted? They’re job is to put the jersey on and give 110% effort on the field.I wonder how much consultation is done with players for Women in League jerseys, or ANZAC Jerseys, or the indigenous jerseys, or even the regular home and away jerseys?
I for one would love to see 17 different jerseys used by each team in the same game, so all players are comfortable. May as well get each player to design their own playing strip... might be a nightmare for refs and players to identify who's on what team, but worth a shot. That is how I see it too.
Either you want to be inclusive or not.
Allow players to wear normal or rainbow jersey. Simple really

That is why I said it.
