I still reckon we need another genuine first grade prop and maybe another centre - we still got Vaughan’s money so I’m assuming after Mbye we are not done on the market just yet
Quality centres are as rare as the proverbial hens teeth. Caleb Aekins is a young off contract back currently with the Raiders (ex Panthers). He hasn't lit up the capital but he had some impressive running metres with the pennies before the move. Should be cheap and may be worth a look for full-back, centre, wing utility.

As the great Bob Fulton said many times "you can't coach speed". My Manly mates are pissing themselves laughing at us. How was he let go? Another McGregor casualty. That bloke was the worst thing to ever walk through the Dragons front door and it will take a few more years yet to rid ourselves of that revolting McGregor stench. The longest serving JV coach. It's shameful.
RD1, do you really have ‘mates’ that support Manly?

Haven't watched it.
Are they showing any of the punch ups from training.

I appreciate the ability to see this side of the game, a great initiative. honestly going off what I see it seems the tigers would be a world away from the professional outfits at the top of the table.

Madge seems pretty unhinged and lacking of composure for an elite coach. It's more like an under 15s coach. Then again he did win a premiership...

  18. I feel like that squad would be a strong squad to start the year next year, good forward pack not losing much once the forwards rotate, and that’s even still without Kerr or Sullivan
Id love to see this team, close to yours..

So, far I have 27 players for next year (I've included, Beale, Fuimaono and Mbye).

Interesting looking through their playing profiles, and you start to wonder.

If any of these are incorrect, please amend

Backs: 12
Clune - no rep honours
Hunt - Aust/SOO
Ramsey - no rep honours
Beale - NZ rep
Bird - SOO
Sullivan - U/18's rep
Mat F - Aust Schoolboys/ U18's rep
Max F - Aust Schoolboys/U18's rep
Ravalawa - Fiji rep
Amone - can't find any rep honours
Sloan - U18's rep
Lomax - Aust Schoolboys/ U18's rep

Forwards - 15
Macca - SOO
Burns - Aust Schoolboys
Burgess - Eng rep
Lawrie - Junior Kangaroo/U20's SOO
Alvaro - Country Origin
Debelin - SOO
Ford - no rep honours
Kerr - U/20's rep/ Indigenous All Stars
Maguire - Aust/Samoa rep
Faamasili - no rep honours
Sims - Junior Kangaroo/Fiji rep/SOO
Fuimaono - Aust Schoolboys/Indigenous All Stars
Molo - Cook Isl rep/ SOO
Sua - Junior Kangaroo/Samoa rep/SOO
Mbye - Junior Kangaroo/ World All Stars/ SOO

I think Coric will make #28, so will be looking for 2 more players imo.
Jackson Sherab-Scmidt is a smoky, but will most probably start in the DS.

It’s a fun watch. Focuses more on Madge than the players. It wouldn’t surprise me that there are punch ups at training though. They have no leaders. Tamou is their captain yet barely speaks and Brooks doesn’t seem like a leader either.
Watching this doco makes me wonder even more what is said in the sheds at Dragons, I would love to know what Hook is saying at half time, whatever it is the players aren’t executing.

It is interesting and I thought there will be another back to make 29 from within
could be wrong there
But we will have 1 more year to fill those 2 spots 🧐
Anyway what worries me sometimes in today’s game the word “rep” gets bandied around too loosely by the media and then player managers in negotiations, hence clubs puff their chest out when they sign a so called rep player for overs $$$$.. who has done little in 1st grade

Coric and Shereb will be part of DP squad.
Beale won't be part of the squad and I think Fui won't be re-signed with his suspension record.
Wouldn't surprise me if we offload Alvaro or Poasa(personally been very disappointed in him)

Mybe deal sorted he will be our 14.
I have our numbers at 25
I would say 3 more signings and leaving 2 spots available till next March.

Poasa has been a flop which is disappointing as he has shown something at times but doesn’t get involved enough. Maybe attitude related?
I’d rather Fui over him & Alvaro. He was very good for us earlier in the year until tragic round.

Any chance you can have a sneaky guess at who might be on the radar re the 3 spots?

Shame about Fui. I know his record has cost us, but I still think he goes okay.

Agree re Alvaro / Beale and Poasa.

All major competitions suspended other than 1st grade NRL. So again, no reserve or JF games for the remainder of the year.

This again puts our up-and-coming players at a disadvantage with some now going 2yrs with only a handful of games under their belt. Especially feel for the young JF boys, some of whom will become ineligible for that comp next year and now in a void between KOE cup and hopefully pick up a position somewhere.

I guess we will lose some players due to this.

A couple of interesting things I just saw from the mole ( take it with a grain of salt )

Marvoni Tuifua the young tigers gun has signed with the Bulldogs

And our very own young back rower Shalom O’ofou is set to leave the club to join the Tigers
