The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Probably because they’re all away games with the seating and ticketing controlled by 5 individual rival clubs making it logistically difficult.
they do offer a non-ticketed membership targeted at Aussies though.
It takes some co-ordination but is possible. If Brisbane don't still do it, they definitely used to as my mate used to get a Sydney based Broncos membership that got him entry to 3 games a season. They were generally against Dogs, Souths and roosters as space was always guaranteed at the big stadiums but I do remember smaller venues being part of the package too.

Didn’t realise titans crowds were that good again

and the team has hardly set the world on fire

Gold Coast is an important market and all this talk about sporting graveyard is bs

league will win the battle easily and the suns will move to cairns or China
The battle is already won. It only exists as a fantasy at AFL HQ. The Gold Coast is RL territory as is Cairns and for Gill to suggest anything different is odd.

We still do - it's called the 'below the border membership' and you can choose 2-4 games a season in Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra. It's a pretty good idea.

One more to go

A Thursday against Manly

Yuck
If the league had a brain they'd make it $10 entry and try and salvage something. Kids could be free.

A gimmick like MNF in '96 could get 20k+ for this game.

20k paying $10 = $200k revenue

8k paying $30 = $240k revenue

So the league will never do it.

The Victorians hypermarket every single game to the max. Stupid names such as the 'SuperClash' and the 'Sunday Funday'. But it draws in crowds of 30k+ for the absolute worst teams.

Maybe gimmicks and funny names aren't as bad as first thought.

Easy to get cult members to attend a kool-aid party lol
But agreed about special offers.
There should be no reason most games at the SFS and homebush can't have a 'kids go free' initiative.
They have the capacity and the money will still be made on food and drink.

Knowing families reluctance to take the kids out in mid winter our rivals do this:

If only NRL actually had the power to lead clubs in major game wide marketing strategies such as this!

The plus of having every club play at large central venues, makes it a lot easier to roll out competition wide promotions like this. If the NRL tried to roll it out, the messaging would be like 'Kids in free except at Pointsbet Stadium, 4 Pines Stadium and Kayo Stadium and potentially not at Belmore Oval, Leichhardt Oval, Campbelltown Stadium Stadium & Penrith Stadium'

Anyway, whilst I'd love for more to make cheaper for kids to go to matches, a bigger lever mover (in my opinion) would be if the game actually did proper variable pricing. As it currently stands, most clubs charge higher prices for their bigger/more popular games, but few do any proper reductions for their 'dud' matches.

If they are worried about their members reactions, allow the members to bring someone along for nothing / cheap.

NQ reporting in an interview with Payten that 22k tickets sold for saturday night.

Its deserves a big crowd after the thrashing we put on you in the prelim last year.

Has me a little worried, you could be returning the favor. haha

In the context of the season its a very important game for Parra and the Cowboys.
