I’d even have origins and gf at allianzFinals and State of Origin yes. Double headers yes as well (if you ever do it)
Games on a Sunday night pissing down rain against a team from Queensland - not a good idea
I’d even have origins and gf at allianz
it’s our equivalent of odsal stadium in Bradford

Going to Homebush on a Friday night is the worst experience. 11k is actually quite a typical crowd for Souths-Storm. They did get 32k in 2013 when both teams were undefeated thoughThe Souths crowd was disappointing. Big clash on a Friday night - should have got more than that

Thursday ... above averagebeen a disappointing round compared to previous ones.
Pleasantly surprised with Canberra and Wollongong and disappointed with Brisbane.Thursday ... above average
Friday early , better then most anticipated
Friday late ... dissapointing but not surprising
Mudgee ... sold out with a limited capacity
Wollongong ... better then most anticipated
Suncorp , a little down but not dreadful
Shark park ... limited capacity & patchy weather but almost full anyway
Accor tonight , patchy weather but dissapointing
121K is more then acceptable for that rnd
I think he was talking games like Souths-Wests, Easts-Cronulla etcParra v Panthers
Sharks v Dragons
At Allianz
I am sure will pull a handful of people
Should be 8 events there a year:Finals and State of Origin yes. Double headers yes as well (if you ever do it)

Funny story I've heard over the years about that match... can't vouch for its authenticity but I've heard/read it more than once.Going to Homebush on a Friday night is the worst experience. 11k is actually quite a typical crowd for Souths-Storm. Probably a good decision in the end it was raining in Sydney. But you are right I think it’s usually a decent draw for sea eagles. Maybe titans, broncos, cowboys, dolphins would have been a better choiceThe choice of venue and opponent was odd for the Manly/Newcastle game.
Didn't this used to be one of the big rivalries? A sort of local derby if you will. I remember they always drew big crowds. Now the Knights have fallen away in recent years but it is disappointing it isn't fostered. Theoretically it 'should' be one of the better drawing fixtures for both teams.
I understand taking games to regions but we need to be smarter.
