The hotel will have 76 rooms apparently...designed for interstate supporters. Stops the notoriously hard task of finding a place to stay. Must say I was impressed

Dolphin's are now selling into Level 5 and 6 at Suncorp, which will hopefully mean a crowd above 35K with tomorrow meant to be nice weather in Brisbane.

Southern Grandstand, both upper & lower is down to single seats in Townsville. Really only the upper rows in the Eastern Grandstand that has any seats left.
I think we will see around 33-35k. Ticketek has been all over the place but here is how I think Suncorp will be filled tomorrow. Maroon pretty much sold. Blue is stadium members who are fickle on any occasion other than Friday night.

I went to a Wallabies vs France game that was filled exactly the same as below and there were 33,800 there. So hopefully they can get 3-6k rockups tomorrow and nudge 40k. The corporates and members came out for the rah-rah though.

I wouldn't be surprised if level 7 east is filled with QRL juniors handed freebies last week given the seemingly weaker than expected sales, but the NRL is probably too dumb to do that.

Why the weak sales do think first game should of been at Redcliffe ?

Definitely not, even if it only hits 30K, it's still triple what Kayo Stadium can hold.

No one knows if the Dolphins will have a competitive team in 2023, so better to try and get as many people to a game before form comes into it.

On sales, there is little doubt that they could have been better, though a lot of that is on how the NRL / Dolphins / Ticketek have being promoting and selling the match.

Regardless, so long as they do get 30K+ they will have the second highest opening home crowd of all 17 NRL teams in 2023.

They'll beat the Crushers opening crowd of 21,102 and whilst they'll fall short of the Titans opening crowd of 42,030, Gold Coast did play the Dragons, which are very well supported in South-East Queensland.

Nah, like yak said it’s too small.

Agree. If they nabbed munster or ponga the vibe would have been better for them and maybe more neutrals would have been keen to see a competitive opening rather than a probable roosters flogging (YUCK). I know the Beeston connection is nice, but opening against the titans at Suncorp would have been my suggestion.
On the tickets for the Dolphins game there's isn't much available on the map. Am I missing something? Looks like it's selling well 🤷‍♂️
Staggered release to constrict attendees to sections of the stadium. This is requested by tenants to keep hire fees down.
