The Game 2023 Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos etc

I reckon the Redcliffe jersey would look better with a Parramatta/Brisbane gold than the shade they chose. If they're going to stick with that shade of gold, maybe something similar to either the old Western Suburbs or City Origin double chevron would look better: red above, below and inbetween the V's, and lose the white.

I know white is a traditional colour of Redcliffe, but I'm just thinking of how to improve the look.

Charcoal in replacement of white

I believe we have done a good job with the nod to our proud history (established in 1947) with the new jersey. The new jersey, with the red, white and gold, has been eloquently explained by the club on their website. I love the jersey. I love the vision.
The Redcliffe Dolphins have a proud history. The Dolphins NRL team has no history. They threw away any claim to Redcliffe's history when they decided not to use the name.

Worth a read for anyone interested re: the club's due diligence and thought process around our logo and club colours.

The New Dolphin
That's some of the worst marketing garbage I've ever read !
God help you on the peninsula, I have a feeling you'll be needing it !
Can't wait to read the spiel when it comes to the second grade you'll be putting out next year.

The funny thing is, in their very first press conference after they got the nod they threw shade at NQ and Brisbane for being "manufactured clubs" and not having a rich history in the Qcup like they do (or words to that effect)......

If you're so proud of this history, call yourselves Redcliffe then merkins.

If they did that it'd turn off even more people from other parts of the city and those whom support other Qld-Cup teams, and they need those people if the club is going to be successful.

Their marketing and branding decisions have forced them into the position of walking an impossible tightrope of trying to keep the old fanbase happy while also trying to appeal to a new one. They should have been forced to create a new brand for their NRL side to avoid these problems, but unfortunately this sport is run by short sighted morons.

The Brisbane Dolphins playing 12 games out of Suncorp could and probably would have worked. 'THE' Dolphins playing in three venues? Yeh good luck with that.

Moreton Bay Dolphins IMO was the answer.

Fmd.. if a bidder wants to keep their brand, and they won the bid... they kept the brand.. get over it dane.. jets were poor, firehawks was shit
Sure it's their business if they want to be f**k ups, however it's unforgivable that the NRL have not only enabled it but supported it.

Also, is it too much to ask that we learn from the mistakes of history? I mean FFS, all of the Dolphins current problems were predictable and could have easily been mitigated by taking some very minor steps.

Probably thinking Manly and Cronulla. Promoted clubs in small enclaves. The litmus tests for THE Dolphins will be their crowds at Suncorp against clubs with little support in Brisbane. 18k plus crowds there and the negativity is ill founded. 20k members to start.
Anything less and I think we can agree its not the best decision ever made.
So far the theory that there are lots of sponsors in Qlnd waiting for another club has proven to be correct so thats a big positive. Now we will have to see if the 'lots of fans waiting for an alternative to Broncos' is true.

A budget camping brand that can't even make a 3m X 3m gazebo, yeah, sweeeet....
(Its 2900 and doesn't fit with any other brand...)
I’m sure the size of the deal is more importent than the size of their gazebos lol
dolphins are claiming to be in top 3 sponsorship revenues already. Presuming it’s true then yeh shows the sponsors where there. As long as the dolphins group they’ve got listed as a sponsor aren't fudging the figures of course.

That doesn't go far enough.

Their NRL team should have been forced to abandon the Dolphins brand completely and come up with something neutral.
But it wasn't like there were brisbane businessmen with minimum half a bil between them with a blank cheque prepared to work with the qrl to start a team from scratch
And Redcliffe proved in 2005 when they cried about gold coast potentially being called the dolphins they had dreams to get in

Of course Redcliffe are being thrown money by any business who's a competitor of a broncos sponsor (apart from xxxx courier mail channel 9 and potentially coca cola)
