Tickets sales have been ok why they negativity

png will be 15k Townsville the same

decent enough
PNG will always sell out.

A half empty stadium in Townsville is disappointing, these games deserve full houses ... I'm not sure if ticket prices are too high or if internationals have become hard to sell because fans have become used to Aust winning by large margins.

15k isn’t a disaster

who knows maybe they will shift more before kick off

sat night is the best time slot for Townsville to get a crowd

Is there anything more damning than empty stadiums? Half filled Townsville and Melbourne is not much of an endorsement for the international game in Aus.
The people who “run” the game think they can neglect and abandon the international game for so many years and then rock up with an half-arsed tournament and expect fans to flock to these games.

You can thank the dragged out CBA negotiations for making this tournament thrown together at the last minute.

Speaking of the CBA, anyone know what ended up happing with player payments ? The RLPA rejected equal pay, does this mean tonight Aust players will get 20k and the Samoans 3k ?

No equal pay got approved. The players just wanted the NRL to pay for it

What do you think the nrl would have done differently with a few more weeks lead in?
End of day they have neglected tne kangaroos brand and int RL generally for years. hard to blame fans for not giving a f**k either now, not that australia rl fans have followed the kangaroos much anyways in modern times. whilst the media is fixated on origin only and int games are irregular and somewhat meaningless not much will change sadly.
