Well they are all getting paid the same so money is no longer a determinant! NZ are the ones getting short end of stick as players are unlikely to opt for them and wreck their origin chances.

And if that happens it justifies people calling international RL eligibility rules Mickey Mouse.
They are designed for it.
He can play for NZ and move back to Fiji/Samoa/Tonga and back again. It would be silly to assume some won’t do that, no matter that it isn’t what we would necessarily want

It’s one thing to switch from Fiji to New Zealand but to switch from Fiji to another tier2 nation like Tonga is beyond a joke.

it’s like musical chairs.

How is it beyond a joke lol your switching countries no matter the status. It's been done before so I see no harm in it

If we are going to finally see a more consistent int calendar Id be happy to see a 2 year fixed term for players national nominations. it does the sport no favours to see a player in a Samoa jersey one year and a Kangaroos or Kiwis one the following year. Make them pick and stick for two years.

The international game needs to gow first before that happens. If they change the rule now we'll be back to just 3 nations fight for the top spot.
No one wants to go back to that

Not necessarily. If players are now paid same and there is equal games for every nation each year there is no reason to pick Australia or NZ over the other nations. Other than the elephant in the room that is Origin in Australia's case or course.

Arguably Tongan players will have a more fun Int experience this year than Kangaroos or Kiwis.

With the hammer being named in the Australian PMXIII squad does this mean he’s not playing for Samoa in the tri-nations competition?
