Don’t lump Friz in with Young. He was one of about 4 blokes that had a go in Game 1.

Young played well, his only mistake being a knock on - and he wasn't on his own there. His shape in attack was excellent and set up Martin's try, and he defended well and got under Gilbert's and DCE's skin.

Although if Liam Martin and Cameron Murray are available, given the form they're in, they should be the starters.

Starting Frizell or Young over both Murray and Martin is ridiculous.

They're good players but Murray is elite and Martin is probably the form backrower in the NRL.

Young was ok. He probs could have had a try or two early if Luai had hit him with a short ball, he got through a couple of holes with a good line run. Other than that he made one error and one penalty that was TPJs fault for being a dead shit.

He should be on the bench with Martin starting, esp if he's only going to get 30 mins, but no issues giving him another go.

You aren't picking him to steer the team around. That would be on Reynolds. Choady has also performed well in more big games than Moses has.

Come on, you know how footy works. You keep running the same decoys time after time, eventually the defence moves to counter the ball out the back, and then you hit 'em with the short ball. By keeping his shape and running those lines, Young did his job.

People don't like him, I get that. But he'll be better for the run.
