I am not blaming the players one iota

Slater vs Fittler is like

Muhammed Ali vs Pee Wee Herman (in a boxing ring)

Michelangelo Sistine Chapel vs 2 year olds stick figure drawing

Albert Einsten vs a flat-earther

It is flat out unfair

If you don't understand just have a gander at post match interviews of both. Fittler is a quasi-moron. Slater is genius.

NSW fans care more about their clubs IMO. It's a different support dynamic

If some random all powerful being offered me one single Parra premiership in my lifetime at the expense of NSW never winning another series as long as Origin survives, you'd better believe I'm taking that deal
If NSW people care more about their clubs why aren't there more bums on seats at games, more memberships.

Origin literally exists for the benefit of Queenslanders. NSW will never, ever have the same attitude towards it. We don't care. Get a bit annoyed, yeah, but everyone has moved on already.

If shoes were on the other foot, QLD would be in mourning right now.
I can only speak for myself, had we lost I’d be over it already. My biggest disappointment is that the games have been terrible.

Probably just me, but I’d prefer to watch a good game, even if it was a loss.

I lived in Melbourne from Jan 2019 - December 2019 and didn't enjoy it much but I have to admit that the buzz of Melbourne city and inner suburbs (inclusive of the crackheads) is far better than Sydney. They are very proud of their city and their hate for Sydney is cringe though. I found that Sydneysiders do not care about Melbourne until prompted, and then they erupt with "BuT oUr BeAcHes!" and "wE ArE thE CApiTaL". In any case, the Melbourne v Sydney rivalry is 90% from Melbourne's side.

Brisbane and Perth people just live their relatively happy unbothered lives.

You are correct though, Melbourne claiming to be liveable is a complete joke. I routinely had to step over syringes, and I worked in the 'Paris end' of Collins Street.

BUT! With all this being said, if I had to pick between a Woollahra or Toorak home, I would pick Woollahra, because Rugba Leeg.
I've been here for a hard eight years, luckily 35 kilometres south east of the CBD. The only pluses for Melbourne is its public health system and public transport network (most of the time).

Oh so post match interviews is what determine a great coach then does it?

You just made yourself LU's version of Pee Wee Herman using your own comparison and by using that flat out stupid criteria. There are plenty of rugby league coaches who are great public speakers but have horrible records as a head coach.

Damn. This reply will be purely subjective, just like your initial statements, but I'll bite anyway. I couldn't disagree with this point more.

For the most part, my experience with New South Welshmen is that they believe NSW and Sydney are the heart, soul, and spirit of Australia but they don't back it up with their attitudes, and actually couldn't give a f**k. It's also ironic, because Sydney is the most soulless, heartless, and spiritless shithole of the Australian capitals. All of our cities are pretty shyte, but Sydney takes the shitcake.

The majority of Sydneysiders that I've met seem to be self serving individuals first and foremost, and f**k the rest second.
Being in the ACT, I bow to your superior knowledge of spiritless shitholes.

You may well be right about the number of Sydneysiders that generally don't give a f**k. If for example, the captain of the Australian cricket team was from QLD or VIC, you'd hear all about it in the media from that state about how the great Queenslander or Victorian won whatever competition they were winning at the time. With Cummins or Smith at the helm, you pretty much hear nothing about NSW. When there's a natural disaster in QLD, the premier comes out and tells the world about the great Queensland spirit, when the natural disaster is in NSW, you hear about Australian spirit. Victorians and Queenslanders more than anyone else have a desire for the rest of the country to see everything they achieve.

A bitta this and a bitta that. I think that's a bit of a coping mechanism to say that you don't care after a loss, TBH. If NSW fans didn't care, they wouldn't be bashing each other, their team, and in here or any other social media forum commenting on it.

I remember the excitement and pashun from Blues fans in the 2018, 19, and 21 game day threads (and stadiums) and it was good to see.

I do see that many NSW supporting fans pick their team over their state. For me, I just need both to do well. No Broncos vs QLD. I just need them both going well.

You're right. Work has me oppressed with the cities it sends me to - they haven't tortured me with Adelaide or Darwin yet, but I've had to spend enough time there too.

It sounds like you share that desire and wish for the nation to celebrate NSW heroes.

Let us start with Smith:

Fitler said after the game he didn't realise Qld scored that much. What was he watching

I moved back to Vic about 3 yrs ago and I am loving it.
Every state is beautiful and I love the differences each state has..

Maybe. But 14 out of the last 18 series going to Qld proves that Qld rugby league is superior to nsw rugby league and always has been.
