Another huge salty sook
For some reason, I thought you were a Blues supporter. How wrong I am.

You probably come from Monto where 72% of the population is the result of the sexual union between the mother and her brother, father, grandfather and in a few cases, the son.

Surely this is now setup for John’s brothers to come back and co-coach! Imagine the media hype they’re employers would love it

the drama of the break up, the make up and then the winning of a series, would be greater story then “remember the titans”
Has Joey ever been a success where ever he has gone as assistant coach.

This is his past 5 years and i reckon his record his worse when you go back

Walked out on the Roosters midway through 2018 - they went on to win the comp
Left Parramatta in 2021 they made a GF in 2022.
Joined the knights in 2022 and haven't made the finals since.

Nsw have plenty of good players to choose from. Problem is that hardly any of them are good enough. Too many nsw players are over hyped and in turn over rated.

Qld had 3 forced changes from game 1 and improved ffs. Qld have a very young squad with massive depth that may see us winning for some time yet again.

It was a great victory built on superb execution and amazing defence.

Nsw best player Haas plays for a Qld team. Says it all really. Now we need to finish this series with an emphatic whitewash.

Last night shows some of the selections were poor, and it starts with some of the forwards selected, fact is some of them just are not up to Origin standard in my book.

Reece Robson? Really?! You're telling me he's the 3rd best option for NSW at hooker behind Apiu and Cook? Sorry but he is poor in my book. His defence is solid but dummy half skills were rubbish.

Hudson Young. "Homer" may go alright in some games for the Raiders, but in 2 games has done SFA on the positive side. Everyone kept talking him up in the media as "built for Origin" but that seemed to be more for niggle. Ill discipline in Game 1, and general lack of effort in defence just grinds my gears. You only have to look at what occurred in Game 1 when he went off so Liam Martin could some on and NSW looked much better. Sorry not my cup of tea.

Then the piesta-resistance Utoikamanu. Pick a rookie first grader who no-one has heard of, who was not setting the world on fire in club land, for the team running stone motherless last, and then only use him for 14 minutes. Sorry I don't care how much Freddy knew him from U19s Origin, he should never have been picked in the first place. The fact that, down to 16 players after Turbo got injured he only played 14 minutes defies belief as it just meant the remaining 15 players had to play longer minutes, thus fatiguing them, which when you had 2 other forwards who had limited training due to injuries, meant they were running out of gas in the second half. Just mind blowingly stupid.

Then outside of Haas, Martin and Murray at times, the effort from the forwards just was not there. They didn't go that extra mile. Regardless of some of the b/s that Qld carry on with, they will make that extra effort in Origin even when they are down by a lot on the scoreboard.

(IIRC) Phil Gould some years back had a clip of Shane Webcke chasing down a break made by a NSW player, stopping a try being scored in the 78th minute of the game when NSW were ahead by some 20 odd points and Qld were no hope of winning. He used that in Origin camps as an example of the effort you have to come up with to beat Qld - and our forwards as a group just don't do that.

Until we get the right forwards, doing the right job, with the right mindset instilled, it wouldn't matter if we had the second coming of Clive Churchill at fullback, Brett Kenny at five eight, Peter Sterling at halfback and Ian Walsh at hooker as the NSW spine as they would not get the space and room to move without the forwards doing the hard yards in hitting the ball up.

I think we all can agree that in both games, regardless of injury, Freddy's interchange tactics in each game have been poor.

Bullshit, Queenslanders are Queenslanders first and Australians when it suits them, New South Welshmen are Australians first and New South Welshmen second.

Good thing the Australian cricket team is full of NSW players, we don't have to hear about Queensland pride or how great Melbourne is.
Damn. This reply will be purely subjective, just like your initial statements, but I'll bite anyway. I couldn't disagree with this point more.

For the most part, my experience with New South Welshmen is that they believe NSW and Sydney are the heart, soul, and spirit of Australia but they don't back it up with their attitudes, and actually couldn't give a f**k. It's also ironic, because Sydney is the most soulless, heartless, and spiritless shithole of the Australian capitals. All of our cities are pretty shyte, but Sydney takes the shitcake.

The majority of Sydneysiders that I've met seem to be self serving individuals first and foremost, and f**k the rest second.

On a side note, earlier someone said that Luke Keary had been tried and failed at Origin level. Keary played game 1 in 2020. Otherwise when he could have been selected, or his form was screaming "pick me" he was unavailable at the start of those series due to injury.

Not saying necessarily he should be now called up for Origin 3 this sseason (nor in 2024 either), but 1 game is hardly a great body of evidence to judge. Unlike Mitchell Moses, he has won 3 premierships and a CC Medal too.

According to Fox Sports Lab:

Tyson Frizell - 53 minutes, 4 runs for 38m, 27 tackles, 1 miss
Hudson Young - 62 minutes, 11 runs for 75m, 18 tackles, 1 miss
Liam Martin - 60 minutes, 10 runs for 87m, 24 tackles, 5 misses

Cameron Murray - 32 minutes, 10 runs for 88m, 19 tackles, 0 misses

Imagine Murray's output if he played 60 minutes.
