Off the top of my head: Dylan Edwards, Campbell Graham, Cody Walker, Keaon Koloamatangi, Reagan Campbell-Gillard, David Klemmer, Saifiti brothers, Murray should have been at lock, Martin starting backrower, etc etc.

Agree with Murray / Martin.

Saifiti brothers? What. They've been trash. KK, RCG have been injured long-term, although they both should be in SOO3. Walker was injured week before this game, hard to pick him on that alone especially with Latrell out too (but can understand why some would).

Graham got the nod above Crichton Game 1 and pulled out due to injury. Would've played both games if not.

I would've picked a different squad/team as well but the bullshit that he's not picking on form doesn't seem to add up imo.

Edit - Not that I'm defending Fittler. He's coaching / game plan is abysmal.

WTF are you taking about. Nothing to do with being a great public speaker or not but what they say. And it is pretty obvious you didn’t watch any post match interviews because then you would understand.

I've seen more post match press conferences than you've probably had wanks in your short life span.

Should have been Cody at 5/8 from the start.
Form 5/8 in the league, most try assists and linebreak assists.
Can unlock that left side, or right side like shelling peas.

Now I'm thinking, ALL South's players should tell Fittler to get f...ed and boycott him and selection until he is fired.
Yes lets make this all about Souffs.

With Edwards watching on from home after Teddys game one?

Come on…

I don't know why I'm still seething after last night. I knew we'd lose. It feels so played out and looks like we have no up and comers in the next few years.
No matter what happens in game 3, it will be a QLD party and we just have to eat shit again.
I'm so over the ch9 wank. QLD are deserved series winners and it will most likely be a maroon wash. I'm so over the almost reality show levels of dramatics when it comes to Tommy, Nathan and Latrell.
Where's the fight?
Where's the never say die attitude?
Where's the pride in our state?
I'm over hearing the legends talk about how NSW players have pride in the state but don't buy in more often than not.
Something has to change. It's unacceptable how this shit happens almost every year now.
Whats worse is this QLD team hasn't got a handful of veterans that are the top 3s (all time) in their positions. They're there to be beaten if you apply pressure and execute.

NSW used to at least get under their skin a bit but the game has moved away from dirty shit in every tackle by both sides. If you're beaten on the scoreboard at least get angry. This has been an average series, nothing too memorable.

Haha I forgot about that Fittler masterstoke. Gutho in the centres literally lost us the series in 2020.

He definitely deserves what is coming.

Cody Walker was one of the worse players in SOO history, no way do NSW need him. I would stick with Moses and get him a decent 5/8.
Besides that I would not change much, maybe start Murray at #13 with Yeo on the bench. Murray is a #13 and nothing else.
IT would be a completely different looking team with just a change of coach.

Game 3 should be a rebuilding game for 2024. Axe Teddy for one. Blood some of the players who gave shown good form and see what they have to offer. Drop all Panthers. No one rates them anyway so a fresh side dominated by Souths players would be good. They're the form NSW team.

Obviously Fittler wouldn't benefit from blooding guys.

How is Brad doing this morning? Angry? Confused? Happy with how the team played like he said in the post match interview? Does he still think putting Cook at centre was a great decision? Is he still confused about the 32-6 score?

i only ask because obviously your defensiveness means you have to be fairly close to Fittler.

St Kilda, Brighton and Williamstown have great beaches? Gotta be f**king kidding!

Port Phillip has the only beaches in Australia where the wearing of sturdy work boots is strongly encouraged to minimise the risk of injury due to discarded syringes and broken ice pipes.
They weren’t joking as well they were 100% serious

The closest REAL beach to me is over 50 kilometres away at Sorrento and Portsea.

You know, the ones with lumps in the water that turn white as they get closer to the shore.

The only time I've ventured into the water in Melbourne was at Rosebud a few years ago. I made it up the my knees until the overpowering stench from a stormwater drain 100 metres up the beach forced me out.

Melbourne - the most liveable city in the world where you can die due to exposure to water borne bacteria.

Mitchell at fullback might work for Souths but they are set up to cater to that. No other NRL team is, they expect high workloads in running the ball back on kick returns, so it would not work in Origin for NSW.

The rest of your team is somewhat laughable (and I dare say was meant to be in a number of cases).

This is what baffles- in the earlier days of Freddy’s reign there was that strong togetherness and accountability. Freddy highlighted that pic of Hayne standing before the crowd after Game 2 2014 and said he didn’t want that kind of individualism to sum up the team.

He dropped Cody Walker after an off game in the 2019 opener, but Cosy messaged Freddy before the decider to say good luck to the boys and he was following them all along. Cleary was dropped for Pearce, but at the end they were up there together on the podium celebrating with the shield and having a great old time.

Somewhere along the way Freddy has lost this, Luke Lewis’s story doesn’t surprise me at all based on what we saw last night. Sad thing thing is, Slater has more or less taken those same qualities Freddy instilled and applied them to Qld, and I can’t imagine why Freddy went away from what worked so well?
When Freddy went along the bench shaking hands with the four who finished there last night, turbo seemed to not be interested

It baffles me that NSW do not seem to learn from their mistakes. Since 2006 there have been a lot of mistakes and it appears very little learnt.

Freddy got a reputation as an Origin winning coach by coming along after many QLD Origin greats retired from rep football. QLD did not immediately have players who were able to fill their shoes. NSW at the same time made their best selections for decades. The result: Good play from the Blues and QLD in disarray during a changing of the guard era, Freddy walks on water.

Well things do not stay the same. QLD started both assembling teams with the hunger and some more experienced QLD players finally lifted their Origin performances. We just saw the result.

It will be interesting to see how the whole NSW structure responds to this.

I dont want any Panthers near the team.

I want to see Souths depleted with missing players... Broncos too but outside of Reynolds and Haas the only other Origin players are Queenslanders.

Well except Staggs. But right centre goes to Campbell Graham.

Panthers 3peat chances go up and they can't be blamed for losing if they aren't playing.
