its an inference, he and I have talked about this. I wont do it because 8 years since official figures is just too far for me to make an educated guess
Well, let me make an educated guess for you, it certainly wouldn`t have decreased, so 90k per Warriors game is probably low, so 100k is probably safe.
So all up you can add about another 5 - 6 million from NZ to the NRL season viewing figures, stretching its` lead over fumbleball to about 40m.

We have games on fta this year too so 10 million is a more likely figure

with the boom in tv viewers in 2015 400k viewers a week from nz is what I would estimate pus origins tests and grand finals

it’s funny gill McLaughlin can falsely claim afl taking over in qld but when it comes to nz tv ratings we have to assume them as close to zero because it makes afl look bad

Let me tell you the actual data from 2014 to 2015 shows a drop of nearly 40% in the average NZ ratings. So no, you're guess isnt educated at all. Its a broad assumption with little to no statistical base.

You can invent whatever makes you feel comfortable.

And thats probably true. You dont see me saying the dude is wrong for reporting it - its a figure he and I agreed is likely at the moment on Sky.

Not quite whats happened here.

Gill Mclachlan can predict whatever he likes for 10-15 years from now, we know what the participation, attendance and tv data says at the moment for QLD in 2022. We dont have tv data for 8 years in NZ, and that data was showing a decline on sky.

A lady who i speak too regularly who's a Union fan from NZ said to me that the Warriors are getting more popular then the ABs.

And that you'll see more kids wearing the Warriors jersey, more then the ABs one.

Even if their was no NRL for 3 years I will never follow that rubbish code. I suppose you will? Is that what you're implying?
Ive been surrounded by it for 24 years and still not taken it up, so nah dont think 3 weeks without NRL will make any personal difference lol

Going to be an interesting period for ratings. With both the soccer World Cup and the ashes on the NRL and AFL will likely struggle.

Think we’ve already taken the hit with the ashes and we might lose some casuals to the women’s World Cup but I doubt it would be significant

interesting to see how the ashes goes against the soccer I suspect the ashes will dominate if they go head to head
