Fine by me. It’s the insistence by some here on telling Wookie how to do his stats that annoys me. The bloke is doing an outstanding job without others coming in sideways offering piecemeal advice and instructions

He can do what he wants for his website and does a great job but on here, especially for comparing the big picture is important

I`m finding it quite fascinating that the Nine and the NRL are prioritising the Kiwi audience by scheduling Saturday`s game between the Warriors and Newcastle at 6 p.m. in NZ, which translates to a less favourable 4 p.m. timeslot over here. I can only think that they see this as a golden opportunity to promote the game over there, still I`m surprised Nine agreed to it given that it could likely have rather a strong detrimental effect on the ratings.

Hence why including the NZ ratings are important in these cases

I get that. Pay TV especially is always changing. NZ I guess having only the one Network have no need to release them

9 will be banking on the lead in to the news, while it gives NRLW prime time viewing

So you think what they`ll lose with the Warriors/Knights they`ll make up for by having the women`s in prime time, interesting, certainly can`t say they aren`t giving the NRLW a red-hot go. What other women`s sport is getting prime-time main channel exposure, two nights this week. It`s a shame they aren`t getting a few more at the games, that would do justice to what we`re getting. Hopefully the exposure will lead to increased crowds.
They did that last week too

like not forcing the wahs to play at Eden park to make more money it’s a thank you to nz so they can watch their team at a good time as it’s on fta

there were idiots arguing sky mz would pay less next time as spark went bust

yet with the boom in tv ratings over there the opposite will be the case

and obviously they would love another team
Can`t see Nine doing this as a thank you, there`s nothing in it for them.
I dont think they care, NRL ratings reported at 128m before finals.

That is 10m more than last year which was a record ratings year.

They are getting huge value out of the NRL.
Thank you for your response, but I don`t think it quite works like that.
Hence why including the NZ ratings are important in these cases

Don`t understand how this explains Nine`s motives.Thank you.

Prob nothing too surprising there. Carlton has a groundswell of support. Compared to roosters who aren’t one of the big clubs For nrl.

However, I do think 50k for melb audience for nrl is pretty decent, considering 20k at the ground,90k next door,500k watching ch 7, and lots of storm fans having fox. agree/disagree?

Yep. Being up against 2 huge Melbourne clubs the crowd and ratings are fine.
