Why do they get crowds that dwarf ours?

Why do they get more TV money?

I’m a fan of both codes, I like basketball and soccer too (shock horror), reading this thread is just bizarre, the hatred aimed at AFL is simply next level, it’s fear IMO, like you’re all desperate to prove your code is bigger/better using any metric you can and completely ignoring the metrics that don’t suit, seriously who gives a stuff?

rl has more casual fans, afl has more committed fans, afl earns more money. That’s pretty much the reality.
if nrl wants to tackle the areas afl is ahead then it needs to get much better in a number of areas. Expansion being one, tv negotiations being the other.

theres a bit of a late 80’s/early90’s vibe about the nrl at the moment, let’s hope they capitalise on it long term this time.
