They don’t want to release it I guess so someone doesn’t bid against them

warriors ratings are through the roof. At least double this year with more games on fta and the warriors populairty

How good would it be if we added another franchise to the comp in Christchurch and they played out of that new to be opened indoor stadium?

The Warriors would have a first rate rival and they would push each other for the mantle of being number 1 in NZ. We need to make this happen as soon as possible to get the jump on Rugby and stay relevant as a viable alternative to them.

It could only work in our favour with Auckland then having to catch up or be left behind in the Stadia stakes too.

I call that a win, win and out with Moloch theory.

Wish we could also include NZ to play Origin, that would be massive.

Around 32 million pa

also they invest money in grassroots rl in nz plus lots of games shown on free to air for the first time

And that has come at significant cash cost - much of the increased amount was in contra according to the Telegraph, in order to get it onto FTA.

No competition for rights next time though - Spark is dead and wont be competing.

Considerable variations in the BVOD/STB ratio from the standard figures used earlier in the season.

It appears the migration to streaming has been much greater among AFL fans than NRL fans.

Any theories as to why?

Oztam claimed that Fox was releasing data that was up to 40% too high, so Foxtel stopped releasing data altogether.
Fox staff told me however that if anything the Fox ratings were probably understated.

If i use the same trending methods i have done for two years, the AFL gains about 40% in its streaming ratings, the NRL gains about 11%.

NRL has 9go and Kayo
AFL has Kayo

Add 9go and Kayo together and its larger streaming than the AFL.

And this is true, at least in the finals series

NRL 2.677m to AFL 2.472m over the last 8 games in the series.

Id have to run the numbers for the season, but im not sure it holds true overall.

Who would’ve thought contra could be valuable ?

I'm slowly gathering information, the reason why NZ is not added or Origin, internationals, is because we have afl flogs that doesn't want it added coz they're fkn jealous of our sport. Long live Rugby League 💙❤️

I hope the AFL enjoy the off season internationals when they play against the draft.

And our game, is not finished yet we still have the international calender still to go. England, Australia France,Tonga,Samoa,NZ,Fiji,Cook Islands,PNG, and tons more countries will be playing cannot wait...

Or maybe people are just sick of the teams that are left.

I know I couldn't give a toss for Panthers, Roosters, Sharks, Storm, Raiders or Broncos and didn't think the Warriors or Knights had a snowballs chance in Hell of getting through to the GF.

Penrith are the lowest drawing Sydney team on TV. They have a short history and not the generational support of Dragons, Bulldogs, Tigers, Rabbitohs etc.

Apples and oranges, regular season AFL games often have to compete with other AFL games due to having more games that air for longer.

AFL finals are the jewel in the AFL’s crown as SOO is with us, looking at all metrics AFL is clearly the dominant football code in Australia, the money they are able to generate the NRL simply cannot compete with unfortunately.

RL has turned the corner after 20 years of being suppressed by News Corp. We are now in bed with them and Nine let's see where we are in 5-10 years.

I can recall 1983 when Kevin Humphreys had to resign as league boss and the average attendance was 6996 and we only had a predictable season. This was considered the games nadir at the time. Within ten years the game under Quayle and Arko climbed up to be the number one game in Australia.

It can be done we have just begun.

Sit tight a second NZ franchise will come. It could very well be in Christchurch. Infact I can see the game growing to 20 teams in the near future.
