The Dolphins are bigger than both and the ratings for the Dolphins dwarf both.

Eh? This broadcast deal included the dolphins and the 12 extra games a 17th club brings. Sure ch9 never paid anything and it’s highly debatable how much fox really paid extra but the extra content is in the contract. Bringing in an 18th club only allows the nrl to try and vary this contract before it runs out end of 2027. Ch9 refused to pay anything last time and fox (allegedly) barely covered costs of the nrl club. Good luck getting an extra $20mill plus out of them for last 2 years of the contract.

Eh? You seem to be mixing up accounting systems with inflation. tv deals are not really effected by inflation, they are effected by competition largely and then other stuff like content and value. Or are you saying afls $366mill to $550mill increase was due to inflation? Lol
