Every one of the players you mentioned was born and lived their entire lives in Australia. The majority haven't even stepped foot in their 'home' country.Australia should stop stockpiling Pacific Islanders to start - tualagi, nene, tino, Holmes, Fifita, ….. hammer, goes on and on. they should be playing for the Pacific teams….
If anyone else made that post you did they would be ridiculed as pro fumbler nonsenseIf i said the sky was blue you wouldnt be convinced. Fortunately you arent the only person on this forum and most have at least some sense.

afl has zero chance to expand outside of Australia. The times they’ve tried it’s been an abject failure
the giants and the suns have been around for ages and are an abject failure. The Brisbane lions aren’t much better
afl peaked in nsw and qld around 20 years ago and it’s on a downward spiral
meanwhile the nrl will add teams which massively increase its footprint
afl had a good 25 years as number one now it’s rugby leagues turn
Yeh even though the attempts in China and Wellington failed this can be ignored because the afl wasn’t behind itMight still be yet too.
They havent tried. Clubs going around with AFL approval is not the same as the AFL putting in any effort. It simply has not happened.
Fortunately the AFL has a little more patience than you. Clubs arent built in a day.
Not according to stuff like data.
mybe it will.
Maybe that too. Maybe not. The AFL hasnt got to where it is by just watching everyone else move.
When has the AFL tried to expand internationally? If anyone else made that post you did they would be ridiculed as pro fumbler nonsense

You’re an absolute nut job, there is something seriously wrong with you.Yeh even though the attempts in China and Wellington failed this can be ignored because the afl wasn’t behind it
it will be a different game when the afl get behind it more exciting
which data? Google trends has been posted on here. Another article showed on the brisbane times website clicks on afl ranked last out of all sports
the failure of the giants and suns is what it’s like trying to expand into nsw and qld without the leg up of a super league war
ignore it all you want there’s a major issue with the situation of afl in nsw and qld

I took the short cut with this bloke quite a while ago and just wrote ‘potato’. Immature I know but it’s not worth it.At the risk of repeating myself, yes.
The AFL has no desire to go intenational.
single year data neither indictes declines or advances.
And you havent got a clue what you are talking about. Despite your hyperbolic bullshit the costs of operating these teams is covered by the AFLs tv rights and commercial activities. When that changes then we might have issues.
No one went into this believing it was a short term success, everyone expected it to be generational except people like you.
Plus 30 million a year extra on those lemons rising all the timeAt the risk of repeating myself, yes.

100% agree and support all you’ve written.Once again I admire your patience. I also admire the info you provide on a RL website. You continually prove that you have no bias. You just posting facts proves that.
You'd be best served to just ignore him and that other clown Harry. RL dickheads of the highest order and an embarrassment to our sport.
I'm no AFL lover at all, (before I get accused of that), but I sincerely hope you continue to provide the info you do.
It is much appreciated.
Just when you thought he couldn’t be any dumber he raises the bar!Plus 30 million a year extra on those lemons rising all the time
poor west coast receiving ten million whilst the giants and suns get 25 to 28 million pa. That’s a travesty
whilst the nrl added a team worth 100 million
afls surplus is being spent on those duds compared to the nrl where all clubs stand up on their own merits and receive the same funding
why doesn’t the afl want to go international ?
that sounds awfully insular especially when your major competitor will soon have teams in 3 nations
also if the afl doesn’t want to go international why have the farce of the afl World Cup ? Why pick an all Australian team ?
why play Ireland in a pseudo afl game ?

Wooks going for that ignore button buddyThat is more than covered by broadcast and sponsorship.
Thats the AFLs method of equalisation.
Other than Collingwood few clubs are arcing up about it or ever do.
poor west coast are the richest club in the league.
And good for you. Still arent getting the media rights money to the same level. Still arent anywhere NEAR the AFLs revenue.
The NRL doesnt have the revenue to do more than that anyway.
Its not neccesary for them,
Game was made here, and is professionally played here. They arent overly concerned what their major competitior is doing overseas.
Intellectual property. Basically stops Brian Clarke from running his own thing.
Same reason the Americans do it, represents the best of the best. They dont really have to play anyone.
They havent done that since before COVID and theres no sign of it coming back. It was a half assed approach. Dude they dont even do Origin any more. Rep games arent a thing for the league.
Wooks going for that ignore button buddy
enjoy the offseason
We don't need Perth and Adelaide anywhere near as much as they need SEQ & Sydney. It is not even close. The first and third biggest states in Australia are essential for the AFL. The wastelands are a nice to have for us.It has probably cost the AFL hundreds of millions to establish the east coast expansion clubs, gaining a foothold in RL territory hasn’t come cheap, are the NRL willing to spend that kind of money to gain a real following in the southern states? Do they have the money?
This long-game thing that AFL types go on about is horse-shit. Lions and Swans didn't 'have a break-through' after persisting with 'the long-game'. They got lucky, RL shot itself in the foot with the SL war which opened the door slightly for them. As you correctly point out, they peaked from the mid-nineties through to the early 2000's and the NRL has slowly been getting it's shit back together. GWS and the Suns will get no such favours, in fact by the time the 'long-game' plays out for the Suns, the NRL will have one more team in SEQ and they and the Lions will be drowned out. Ditto in Sydney.Yeh even though the attempts in China and Wellington failed this can be ignored because the afl wasn’t behind it
