Summo is on a dev contract mate. I don’t take your personal feelings into account when picking the best player to give Kenny a break. Luke is the best option to replace Kenny, so that’s why I think he should be the 14. If you can point out a better hooker that can play. I’m all ears.

Changing our starting front row is crazy and thankfully won’t happen.
It absolutely should happen and is logical

I mean't Garner as back cover. Should a back go down.

I see Ivan running a bench of
14 ?
15. Garner
16. Smith
17. Henry.

Unless Luai isn't playing 80 mins round 1. I can't see Laurie doing much off the bench. It would be junk minutes.
I think this is what we will see.
Ivan usually plays it safe, I think peachy will probably get the nod at 14.
I know he is not everyone’s choice but Ivan likes experience and he can cover our new centre, hooker and 5/8 at a push.
I’m not saying he is the best choice, just that I think he will start the year as 14

We'll be f**ked when we take them off for 2 kids
No we won’t, we’ll be fine, they will just stagger the interchanges.

Have just a little bit of faith in the system.

All Henry and Smith need to do is make their tackles and hit hard.

Henry is a good player, he’ll show you why we didn’t bother chasing hard for Spencer.

As we were at times this year when the bench played
So start Smith, where do you think all the traffic is going? Lindsay Smith or James Fisher Harris?

Lindsay Gasses out after 10 mins….

Or, do we put him and Henry on after the opposition is gassed and their bench is on…. hmmmm

Mose and Fish give oppositions nowhere to focus… that what makes them so good and drains the energy out of sides.

Then don't have them as the subs... simple, eiso can cover leniu spot, till ivan is comfortable with putting both henry and smith on together during the year...
I don't think we'll see this happen anyway, chances are smith starts during the year at some point, whenever henry is on the bench, and one of fish or moses is benchie, or god forbid injured, but like i said Eisenhuth is probably the better choice, depending on who we are playing, if we are up against a tough pack, go with eiso, if not chance it with henry, or pick niether and have Alamoti on the bench or start martin in the middle, there are plenty of options

I'd start Henry who can play big minutes and offers little impact.

Stand him next to Martin and let that side be targeted. Good luck choosing to run
at Martin

For such an expert coach of the game Luke really doesn't understand balancing the bench. Can't go from the impact of Spencer to a workhorse like Henry and play them in the same role.

We can use Smith's passing game more but having him, Henry, Garner and a 14 won't get much go forward.

A different sport but I support the Knicks, We traded our bench scoring and now are struggling when they come on.

That is what the risk is here

You guys really over think this stuff.

In my opinion, we have the best starting middle in the world. You don’t bust that up.

Our young blokes will do what ever Ivan needs them too.

It’s exciting times.

Rookie forwards can be awestruck in the 1st half a dozen matches they play in FG. Some talk about just doing enough to survive out there.
If Smith and Henry are both off the bench there is no reason their stints can't be staggered in the early rounds, as players build up fitness, and Henry gets used to the pace of FG.

Leota usually comes off first around 20 minutes. Smith can then come on. When Fish comes off 5-10 mins later Sorro playing edge could shift to prop and Garner comes on.
Then Leota could come back on after HT with Henry for a stint etc. There are plenty of scenarios the club can take.
There is a reason why we didn't replace Spencer externally. I am sure Henry will be up to it in his own way.

100% agree. Finally some sensible chat on here.
