Moving onto the next week, the next Round, and looking forward to the next game. This time, we’re back in action on some Saturday night Footy against the Tigers, out there at the old Campbelltown Stadium. I honestly can’t remember the last time we played at Campbelltown. We had a trial game there in 2017, but the last time we played there in a Regular Season match? I don’t know. Anyone care to enlighten me? Anyways, looking forward to getting back there and it’ll be good for our fans out that side of town.

Going up against the Tigers again will be interesting as we only played them a few weeks ago. We won that one in a bit of a high-scoring, see-sawing match and honestly, I don’t want the same in this one. Of course, I want the same result, but not a rollercoaster game.

This week, I’d like to see us really hunker down and get to it. This is a game we are capable of winning, and it’s one I believe we should win. So, we need to go out there and just put in a solid performance. Don’t allow it to be a see-sawing game.

It’ll be an interesting one, as both teams are out of Finals contention so there’ll be a bit of stress-free Footy, but we just need to put in the same kind of top-notch effort we have been the last couple of weeks, and that might be enough. We still have an incredibly depleted side, and no one is back this week so that will make it tough again and give the Tigers a chance, but I still feel we have enough to get it done this week.

Always love playing the Tigers, it’s good to ignite the Sydney rivalry again, and both teams are well supported so it should be a good atmosphere out there.

Our next two games are winnable, and I think we get this one.

Go you Bunnies!! Bring on Saturday.

The Tigers will fancy their chances after getting on a roll against us last time round and feeling that they could have had our measure plus, we are even more depleted than we were that day.

They could be without a halfback though and may have to play Api in the 7 the way things are shaping.

We want to start well and play from in front to keep their home fans quiet.

As for our record at Campbelltown Stadium, the records show we have played there 11 times for 4 wins, 1 draw and 6 losses.

The good news is we've won 2 of our last 3 regular season matches played there. The bad news is that it is that long ago, I don't think that form is exactly relevant any longer. In fact, our last game there was a 16-10 victory against the old Wests Magpies in June 1999 in the months before our exclusion from the game! That's how long ago it was.

Which means, this will be the very first time EVER that we will have played the Wests Tigers merged entity at Campbelltown.

Need to make it 3 from our last 4 there.

Team list Tuesday!! Bit of an interesting one this week with a couple of changes for our game against the Tigers too.

The entirety of our backline and halves remain unchanged, which isn't unexpected, but it's great to see Munro back in action. He's on the extended bench and will play NSW Cup. Fantastic news.

The pack is where it's interesting. Hornby has opted to Move Cam back to lock, Keaon back to second row, and return Tallis to the number 12 jersey. This is a bit surprising, but to be honest, I'm not against it. Cam hasn't really worked on the edge thus far in 2024. His best position is still lock. While Keaon has been a revelation at lock this year, his form has dipped a little in the last couple of weeks. He also picked up an injury in the game last week so this move could also be partially to preserve him a little.

Hosty returns on the bench.

I think the balance of our pack is better like this, provided Keaon can keep his form going on the edge. With Chee Kam nowhere to be seen in the starting side, it's the best pack we've named in weeks!

This is a line up that can beat the Tigers.

Some great shots from today's captain's run there. Glad to see the boys are still in high spirits despite our current situation, and I hope that shows in our performance tomorrow.

It's been a weird week so far. Dunno whether it's because I've been busy in my personal life with work, or because there's been a lot of distractions around the club this week, or whether it's just because we can't make finals, but I feel like I haven't thought about the game much this week. Really looking forward to it and I'll be excited tomorrow no doubt, but it's just been a weird week.

Game day ladies and gentlemen and good morning to all my fellow South Sydney members and fans. The day has arrived yet again and our boys are back in action again tonight against one of our Sydney rivals, the Tigers. Should be a great clash to watch as both teams are at a similar level currently and we both can't make the Finals so it's a somewhat stress-free game.

Not going to lie, this game day feels a little odd. Like, I'm up for it and excited about it, but I just don't feel pumped like I normally do. I guess being out of the Finals race will do that to ya. I'll still cheer on the boys as normal, but it really feels like we're just waiting for the Season to end now.

In saying that, I can feel a win today, and I really think we should be winning today. That's no disrespect to the Tigers, but I just think that if we put in the sort of effort we have the last two weeks against two top four sides, it should be good enough to get the job done tonight, and that's the aim. Just strip it right back, get your effort right, and get the basics right, the rest will follow.

These next two games are the most winnable of the rest of the Season so in my view, to end the Season amicably, we need to be winning these and that starts tonight.

Our first game at Campbelltown in over two decades, hope it's a good one.

Game day! Let's go lads!!
