The year cowboys won the grand final they did the same all year with their dummy halves. Granville was the strike player but was getting worked over in defence missing heaps of tackles and then not using his running game.
So they started Rory Kostjaysn who was just used to pass out of dummy half and tackle his heart out for 20-25min then Granville would come on and be able to attack a tiring and fatigued defence.
Cook and Havili could easily be used the same way. If it works and opens up cooks attack I’m all for it

I tried to look up stats for head to head player against player.
It's hard to find without having to look at multiple sites, unlike say NBA stats, but from what I can see, and I hate to bring this up, but Cook has never won against Brandon Smith. I got 0-6, without counting playoffs/finals, or tests. Maybe someone else can dig the stats out.
When I saw the change made by the coach, I thought what the hell, but now I'm thinking it might be the best way to go against Smith. We will see shortly......
