James Fisher-Harris signs for the club, what a signing, I know there is a separate thread, but definitely deserves to be posted in the signings thread too:

Kiwi captain and powerhouse Penrith prop James Fisher-Harris has signed a four-year deal to join the One New Zealand Warriors from next season.
The 28-year-old Northlander has reached agreement with Penrith to be released from the last two seasons of his contract on compassionate grounds so he can move back to New Zealand to be closer to his family.

A 183-game NRL veteran, Fisher-Harris has been at the forefront of Penrith’s run of three consecutive premiership wins in 2021, 2022 and 2023 while he also played in the 2020 grand final.
He led the Kiwis to a record 30-0 win over the Kangaroos in the Pacific Championships final last year culminating in him winning the Golden Boot player of the year award along with the New Zealand Rugby League’s player of the year accolade.
“We’re absolutely delighted to be able to sign James,” said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.

“It’s a huge signing for us, undoubtedly one of the biggest in our club’s history.
“To be able to add a player of his calibre and standing to our squad is a tremendous boost for 2025 and beyond. He’s such a highly-respected player and leader.”
One New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster and Fisher-Harris will be reunited after working together when Webster was an assistant coach at Penrith for the grand final-winning seasons in 2021 and 2022.
He’s one of the game’s elite players, a super tough forward who sets and demands the highest standards
Andrew Webster One New Zealand Warriors head coach
“It’s going to be fantastic having James with us. He’s one of the game’s elite players, a super tough forward who sets and demands the highest standards,” said Webster.
“I loved working with him at the Panthers and we really look forward to bringing him into our system from next season. He’ll add terrific value to our roster, to the club overall and he’ll also be invaluable as a mentor for our young players coming through.”
Fisher-Harris, born in Kohukohu in the Far North, made his NRL debut with Penrith in 2016 followed by his Kiwi Test debut later the same year. Rising to become Kiwi captain last year, he has played a total of 15 Tests. He has also captained the Māori All Stars.

“James has such standing in the game. He’s a player with real mana who commands respect on and off the field,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.

A Cleary returns to the Warriors, Jett Cleary signs through to end of 2027:

Warriors secure Jett Cleary

The Cleary name is returning to the One New Zealand Warriors with confirmation Penrith Panthers halfback Jett Cleary has signed a three-year contract with the club from next season.
The 19-year-old brings impressive pedigree as the son of former Warriors and current three-time premiership-winning Penrith coach Ivan and brother of Panthers, New South Wales and Kangaroos halfback Nathan (26).

The youngest Cleary has forged his own path through the famous rugby league nursery St Dominic’s College in Penrith and the Panthers’ development teams in the Harold Matthews Cup (under-17) and the SG Ball Cup (under-19).
His signing comes just a week after the One New Zealand Warriors and Penrith combined to pave the way for Kiwi captain James Fisher-Harris to return home to join the Warriors from next season.
“It’s an exciting time for us to be able to bring a player of Jett’s quality into our pathways system from next season,” said One New Zealand Warriors CEO Cameron George.
The Cleary family has the strongest links with our club through Ivan’s time with us and it’s a special thrill to sign Jett and have the Cleary name back with us.

“The Cleary family has the strongest links with our club through Ivan’s time with us and it’s a special thrill to sign Jett and have the Cleary name back with us.
“We’re again truly grateful for the cooperation from Penrith and Ivan in helping to make this possible.”

Cleary played for the Panthers at Harold Matthews Cup level in 2021 and 2022 before going up to the SG Ball Cup last year and again this season.
“Jett has a big future in front of him and we’re excited to give him the chance to develop in our system,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.

“While he was only young when he left New Zealand to go back to Australia, Jett has the benefit of strong family ties with the club and with Auckland as well.
‘He brings wonderful pedigree with him as well as a great understanding of the game after coming through Penrith’s fantastic pathways.”
Jett Cleary was born in Auckland on April 2, 2005, just as Ivan was beginning his role as an assistant coach with the One New Zealand Warriors before becoming head coach in 2006.

As well as playing for Penrith’s Harold Matthews and SG Ball teams, Cleary also represented the New South Wales Combined Catholic Colleges at the national schoolboys championships last year.

Shout out to our New Zealand brothers and sisters on Anzac Day.

My sister from NSW is on a holiday in NZ at the moment and I’m sure she will pay the respects to your fallen.

And pay the tribute to the Māori, a ripping and wondrous cultural phenomenon.

As an Australian, as @callmack1 knows, I am proud and delighted to have your awesome country in our region.

i wouldn’t want it any other way.

I think I have some NZ in the blood now because I can’t stomach any other country’s war dance and attempt at haka.

I respect the people and cultures trying their own version but for me, it’s the authentic haka that sends the shivers down the spine and the heart beating stronger.

No person from any other country should attempt the haka without permission. Not one word, not one step.

good news that - and good that he's not being talked about for origin any more - shame for him, but Api is better, and McInnes is a good bench option, and TBH while Egan is good enough, I think he'd end up broken
Are the Warriors cursed for all eternity to have glass hookers?

Egan re-signs.
Great news, some good news was needed, official club story:

Egan secured on extended deal until 2027

Hooker Wayde Egan will remain at the One New Zealand Warriors until the end of the 2027 NRL season after signing a two-year contract extension.
The club has moved early to secure the 27-year-old who had been extended to the end of 2025 only last July.
The Lithgow-born Egan was a standout in 2023, earning a nomination as one of the three finalists for the Dally M hooker of the year award alongside Apisai Koroisau (Wests Tigers) and Harry Grant (Melbourne).

He started this season in similar vein with a series of performances which saw him singled out as a contender for this year’s New South Wales State of Origin side.
“Wayde has shown his class consistently as one of the best hookers in the game,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.
“He is thriving in the environment we have here and he’s passionate about the club. We’re thrilled to have him with us long term.”
Egan is in line to play his 100th match for the Warriors this season, boosting his tally to 88 in Sunday’s clash against the Sydney Roosters.
Wayde is vital to us as an elite hooker – one of the smartest around – and as a leader on and off the field
Andrew WebsterOne New Zealand Warriors head coach
“Wayde is vital to us as an elite hooker – one of the smartest around – and as a leader on and off the field,” said One New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster.
“He loves it here and we love having him. We’ve got a style of play we put around him so he can show his talent. He’s exceptional and a player I’d like to see at our club for many years to come.”
Egan, who now has a total of 117 NRL appearances, joined the One New Zealand Warriors for the 2020 season after 29 appearances for the Penrith Panthers in 2018 and 2019.
His first 50 games for the Warriors were all played in Australia while the team was based there during the Covid pandemic. His first experience playing at Go Media Stadium was the 2022 clash against the Wests Tigers.

As well as showcasing his deft skills around the ruck, Egan is a defensive workhorse in the middle of the field averaging more than 40 tackles a game so far this season including 50 against both the Titans and the Knights in rounds eight and nine while he made 58 in the golden point draw with Manly Warringah.

Great news, here is the official release from the club:

Barnett secured until 2027

One New Zealand Warriors forward Mitchell Barnett has recommitted to the club to the end of the 2027 NRL season after signing a two-year contract extension.
Joining the club from Newcastle last season, the 30-year-old Barnett was originally signed on a three-year deal to the end of 2025.

His new contract caps an eventful time which has seen him selected in the New South Wales State of Origin squad, captain the One New Zealand Warriors and become a father again after his wife Clare gave birth to the couple’s second son Zane two weeks ago.
“Having Mitch on board for the next three seasons is so important for the club,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.
“He’s a terrific asset, representing all the qualities we want to see in our players.”
Raised in Wingham in New South Wales, Barnett makes his 157th career appearance and his 29th for the Warriors in Saturday’s 15th-round clash against Melbourne at Go Media Stadium.
He ticks all the boxes. The harder it gets, the better he gets.
Andrew WebsterOne New Zealand Warriors head coach
“Mitch absolutely epitomises toughness, resilience and leadership,” said One New Zealand Warriors head coach Andrew Webster.
“Whether he’s in the front row or on the edge, he gives the team everything and more.
“Through the tough period we endured, Mitch was the glue. He worked so hard and really deserved his Origin call-up. He ticks all the boxes. The harder it gets, the better he gets.
mitchell-barnett-1w.jpg

“Off the field he’s a tremendous influence on the group and shows so much passion for the club. We love him.”
Barnett has credited Webster for taking his career to a new level.
"Webby has come in and I have really connected with him. He just gets it. He gets rugby league. He gets life. He gets the mixture,” he said.
"I needed a bit of a change. My form and my career were stalling a bit at Newcastle and I wanted to test myself and get out of my comfort zone. I wanted to come here to show my value.”

The move has resulted in Barnett finding career-best form averaging 142 metres and 30 tackles a game over the last two seasons.
In Saturday night’s 42-12 win over the Cowboys he scored a try and made 149 metres from 15 runs, 70 post contact metres, 28 tackles without a miss and no errors in an unbroken shift of 58 minutes.

Jazz Tevega confirmed to be leaving the club at the end of the season:

Tevaga to farewell club at end of 2024 season

Long-serving forward Jazz Tevaga will leave the One New Zealand Warriors at the end of the 2024 NRL season.
The off-contract forward will part with the club after a career which has seen the 28-year-old represent the Warriors for nine seasons in the NRL.
“We’re grateful for all Jazz has done for the Warriors. We have appreciated his efforts during his time with us and wish him and his family all the best for the future,” said One New Zealand Warriors general manager recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.

Tevaga, who made his NRL debut in 2016, has been named to play his 134th match in Friday night’s round 22 encounter with Parramatta at Go Media Stadium.
A Papakura Sea Eagles junior, he played 45 times in the NYC under-20 competition in 2014 and 2015 and has made 35 New South Wales Cup appearances since 2015.
