Chaos lol. Highlight Cleary knocking himself out trying to kill Hughes. That’s some poetic justice right there. Sht performance by Storm but still walk away with the points.

Well we did what was needed. Not sure if anyone inside Storm HQ would be thrilled with that, but I’d also say Penrith are 4 time champions for a reason.

Those who stepped in for Edwards, Cleary etc showed a lot tonight.

Disappointed with our performance, but a win is a win.

Scraped in against a bit of a rag tag Penrith outfit who I think we’re brilliant.

At your optimum, you should have wasted them by half time given your wonderful roster.

Meaney injury is bad news, he was one of Bellamy’s better projects. Ive been enjoying his game. He was creeping along in a nice upwards diagonal. Bellamy builds players as does Ivan.

AOB has said a few times, that he’s ok with losing as long as the players played well.

It’s the precious 2 points, but the Panthers got a lot out of the game as well.

Certainly when Dylan is on, he adds so much, and Cleary in full flight is the best player on earth.

I enjoyed the wrestle as a neutral. Maybe slightly smug as I live in their player catchment.

It’s round 3 so I am far from concerned, but you’re right. Should have been a comfortable win given the circumstances!

Meaney will be a loss but gives Wishart a chance to start which he deserves

Yep, it’s early days.

Paps is back. I heard an interview with him after his game, he was harsh on himself!

He’s an impressive speaker.

Just seen the highlights on NRL.com. What the hell did Matt Thompson mean by "That's a leg pull. Which is classed as a dangerous tackle in the modern game"?

A leg pull after the ref has called Held is illegal. Always has been. Nothing to do with dangerous.

Raiders, Dogs and Sharks have looked pretty good early on so it may be a good thing if Penrith and Melbourne come back to the pack a bit. Some of the other team’s currently in and around the 8…remains to be seen.

How about the Broncos?

They are right in it. Going deep into this competition my tip grand finalists.

Hughes took Cleary out? Jesus is that you Ennis? It was a collision where neither player was at fault.
Looked like Cleary jumped to avoid colliding with his teammate. But it did look and sound like Storm fans were booing him. To be expected from the Melbourne crowd that don't understand the rules of the game. Maybe they were yelling out "BALL"?

They were booing Cleary.

They couldn't even fill the stadium for a GF rematch, against the four-time premiers, probably with the best squad they've had since the cheating days, with all the retribution they're trying to achieve this year etc. OK, it was Thursday, but this is the city that says it does sport and support better than any other.

The majority (not all, I'm sure there's good ones on here) of Storm fans suck. If they were to become cellar dwellers overnight, there'd be four fans there week on week.

I can't get over what Cleary did there, being no big deal to the media and LU.

It was wild, be just took out Hughes by jumping into him, and should have been put on report at least.

f**k that, they were booing him for foul play.

That was a crazy reckless act from Clearly and it's lucky Hughes didn't get badly injured.

And the penalty appeared to go against the Storm initially to.
