f**k that, they were booing him for foul play.

That was a crazy reckless act from Clearly and it's lucky Hughes didn't get badly injured.

And the penalty appeared to go against the Storm initially to.
What foul play? He was running for the same ball everyone else was. Cole got to it first and Cleary jumped to avoid hitting him and collided with the other guys chasing the ball.

Hughes tried to milk the penalty like he always does. No way he was actually hurt. Probably thinking Grant is lucky not to be injured after Yeo took him out too?

Booing an injured / concussed player leaving the field is f**king gutless and lacks class. A classy crowd will clap the player walking off or being carried off. I mean unless its a thug piece of shit like Matt Lodge or some other violent psychopath.

He's quite clearly going off concussed. I know there's no announcement at the ground but it was clear if you watched, that he had a HIA. Is that the time to boo?

I agree, it was reckless and I have no sympathy in that regard, I actually have no idea why he did it. It was a very weird act.

It should have been a Storm penalty, too, because that act preceded the holding on penalty that went against Grant. You're right, Hughes could have been injured

Not sure how accurate NRL.com is but they have the penalty down as Hughes tackling Cleary in their play by play lol probably the funniest part of the incident

I assumed it was for Munster going on with trying to drag Cole into the ingoal after the tackle was complete. With some of the weird calls Gee came up with last night it could have been a delayed call on Hughes not being first to run out through his 150 banner.

Either that or Grant then dropping the shoulder into Cole's back after Munster had stopped dragging him.

In all seriousness, Munster and Grant were on one last night. Grant in particular. No idea what got into him but I don't remember him being particularly grubby, especially for a Storm player.

They are butthurt because they can't beat us when it matters. We'll do them again in the finals and they know it

Him running into the back of Yeo was bizarre. That and the Cleary/Hughes thing were 2 scenarios we likely wont see again for a while.
