Dallin remains until 2027. I feel the fans will be split on how they feel about this re-signing.
I'm okay with it, though I dunno about extending him 2 years.

I'm very interested to see what happens with Moala-Graham Taufa. No place for him in the top 30 unless we release someone else (or I'm counting wrong). He was the NSW Cup Team's player of the year, so there are surely some other clubs knocking...

He is uncontracted and reportedly being offered to Super League teams

Maybe Kosi gets the release?

If they managed to get him down to a reasonable amount to cater for our rookies (Which is looks like it with the recent signings of Ali Leiataua & CHT)

that 900k better have been split into 3. Considering he only does half of his job. Cant abide by this unless hes taken a massive cut.

I assume he has taken a cut to remain here and some of that money will be dished out to upgrade some of our young guns.

900K or even more is what To'o should be on. Not DWZ.

I am a bit concerned that the club is making a compromise to keep DWZ. He is obviously not the winger they want/need but simply the best they can get at the price. And if he keeps coming off his wing on defence the savings could well cost us. I am surprised the coaching staff haven't corrected this already.

In what could be described in one sense as a 'gain' and in a truer sense as a 'loss', we signed Jackson Ford through to the end of 2027

*sigh* and it's not like we don't have a bunch of young forwards coming through, either

Yuck, I thought with the new hype train we'd move away from being a home for journeyman Aussies. I guess I was wrong.

I'm ok with Ford re-signing. If he can eliminate/ reduce his errors (as Jazz did), he's a great workhorse. He's got a big engine and he does not shirk the hard work.
Agreed. Ford is a 80 minute option that will come in handy during the long season.
His mistakes has reduced with us and is not on a top tier salary.

Tuaupiki re-signing is some good news to read today.

From Zero Tackle.
NEW ZEALAND WARRIORS – Braydon Trindall (Sharks)

The Warriors have no obvious heir to Shaun Johnson’s No. 7 jersey following his retirement and need to make that their priority come November 1. Luke Metcalf and Te Maire Martin loom as their best options in the halves next season, but their best position is five-eighth. Meanwhile, Chanel Harris-Tavita has developed more into a dummyhalf option in recent years and hasn’t kicked on as an NRL playmaker. The Warriors should be looking to go hard for Sharks playmaker Braydon Trindall to play halfback and reunite him with former Cronulla teammate Metcalf and build the team around them. The Sharks have Daniel Atkinson and Trindall on their books and can’t keep both, so the Warriors should go hard for Trindall and see if they can pry him away from the Shire to be their main man on a long-term deal.

Really? Recent years? Dummy half option? Lol CHT's been back for one season, and the few minutes he played at hooker he looked average. But when he played in the halves next to TMM, he looked pretty decent

I'm ok with the Ford resigning, tbh, I don't get the dislike he and Montoya have had - both give 100%, they're not the most talented, but you'll get effort, and his mistakes are something that can be changed

DWZ I am not a fan of tbh, that's more a marketing/fan oriented signing, and more self harming than Ford imo

Not sure about the halves tbh, be interesting to see TMM and Metcalfe get an extended run, and presumably CHT as a 14 - but of course we went ok with TMM and CHT last year - if the forwards continue to be good (they should) - then we need to pick and stick in the halves for a bit... Trindall certainly is interesting

Agree completely. While Ford might give away a penalty or turnover, DWZ "defensive reads" often directly cost us a try in his corner
