The Zimbot bowlers are getting the ball to hoop nicely in the air. Reminds me of what Kulasekera did here 2yrs ago and we all know what happened in that match. Australia will be disappointed their match vs Bangladesh here was washed out.

2/12 off 8 overs

One of the most economical first 10 overs I've seen for a long time. Great bowling from the Zimbots.

PAKISTAN 2/14 off 10 overs. Misbah really struggling with 2 off 24 balls. Rashid Latifs 6 off 71 vs Windies in 1993 is on the cards:lol:

Running 4. It's been a long time since I last saw that.

And how good to see the boundary rope pushed back to where it should be.

This too! lol, talking too much sense mate.

Some of the boundaries in some stadiums are tiny, but generally it hasn't been as batting oriented as I initially thought it would be. de Villiers aside.....

Good to see, this aspect of bowling sometimes gets ignored in favour of 'express pace'

I agree.

Mitchell Johnson could learn a lot from this after his bowling display yesterday. His 68 runs conceeded off his 6 overs defending 151 turned out to be very costly

This larger boundaries give the slower bowlers something to work with. Dont like how at some grounds like MCG, you have an additional layer of advertising boards, which is where the rope should be. Completely unnecessary.

Zimbots bowling change. I dunno about this. They should've kept bowling those 3 pace bowlers they had whilst they were strangling the Pakistani batsmen of runs. It wouldve been worth it to maintain the pressure.

A top edge should never be 6 runs, esp to the side boundaries. That's where I draw the line.

Big boundaries also promote scampering for 2-3 runs instead of jogging 1s.
It means the fielders have to be sharper as well, much more rounded in terms of cricket skills.

100% agree with you. Good to see ICC boss Dave Richardson did something about this in the World Cup as this issue has been giving me the craps for the last few years since I noticed that the ropes were slowly moving further in from the fence. Nothing pisses you off than a flukey top edge or complete mishit that clears the shortened rope, but bounces well infront of the fence.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling next summer Cricket Australia will bring the ropes in again to get more 4s and 6s given that I dont see anything being done about the blade width on cricket bats like David Warner's anytime soon. Bat manufacturing is a big money business.

AGAIN! What a delivery to get Afridi. Unplayable. I shall now say those last two wickets are Zimbabwe's balls of the century:lol:
