Khawaja is all kinds of awful.

Told ya so, i know an average player when i see one.....:p

Not only did he get out for a meek 14, he was dropped and he should have helped with that Rogers non dismissal. But give him a few more because he could be the next Steve Waugh.

Point everyone is missing about Hughes is whether he hit it or not it was a woeful shot. Wild slash at a wide ball with his team at 2-50. Same old though. Way out of his depth at test level and will make way for Warner in the next test.
Warner got 6 and 11 in Zimbabwe. NOONE is making way for him. And certainly not Hughes who has done much better than Watson and Rogers in this series.

Honestly, I don't think our golden generation was a fluke, or a case of 'planets aligning'. When you have so many good players in one team, sure it means something has gone right in the development. Now for some reason, we've lost the trick. In terms of batting, Ponting, Gilchrist, Langer, Hayden, Waughs, Taylor, Clarke, Hussey and Symonds is no fluke!

The real problem with many top order batsmen in Australia is that they are limited overs batsmen. They don't have temprament or concentration to be test batsmen.

If we want to improve our test batsmen, then they should all be banned from limited overs cricket for a season or two.
