Yes, it's controversial. There's many contenders for positions #10 and #11 out of Siddle, Hilfenhaus, Harris, Starc, Copeland, Hazelwood, Cutting and Cummins. Any two from that list I'd be happy with to join O'Keefe and Pattinson as the tailenders. With Siddle and Hilfenhaus doing the job at the moment, it's going to be very hard to shaft both of them now that they're bowling a hell of a lot better than 12 months ago since they aren't bowling in tandem with Johnson.
Cummins is still only 18 yrs old, and he has time on his side (compared to Harris who has outstanding stats, but is injury-prone and 32). I have no doubt that if he remains relatively injury free, Cummins will go down as one of Australia's best fast bowlers when he retires. This recent injury to him is a warning sign to him though; he needs to build up his fitness levels to be able to sustain his form in the 5-day form of the game if he doesn't want to end up like Jason Gillespie - someone with lots of talent, but breaking down all the time. I was very impressed when I first saw him in the T20 Big Bash last year, bowling up to 150km/h for a then-17 year old.
I remember when I was in high school. I had a friend who was then friends with Moises Henriques (about 6-7 yrs ago. I think they played in the same Sydney grade side on the weekends, although my friend went to Gosford High with me). It was because of Moises that my friend got to meet Michael Clarke (who was new to the Aussie side back then) at a hotel in Sydney, had lunch with him, got his autographed bat etc. and then he wanked on about this whole encounter one lunchtime infront of a whole group of classmates after an HSC assessment task) and he used to shoot his load over Moises regularly in conversation, and speak like Moises was the next Glenn McGrath, how he won the Ricky Ponting scholarship, could bowl 140km/h (although 130km/h or so was the fastest I saw him bowl in the Ford Ranger Cup) toured with the Australian U/18 side etc. etc. He spoke about Moises the way most of the fanatical Indians speak about Tendulkar. Anyways, I finally saw Moises play in numerous Ford Ranger Cup matches a couple of years later when I moved down to Sydney, saw the games on tv when he played in the India/Australia ODI series in 2009 and to be honest with you, I saw absolutely nothing special about him. Also, couldn't understand why ppl like Mark Waugh also kept wrapping him in commentary (maybe someone can explain this for me). However, when I saw Cummins bowl for the first time, I knew that he was definitely going to wear the baggy green one day and to my surprise, it came a hell of a lot earlier than I thought during the 2nd test vs South Africa last year. Cummins has the X-factor; Henriques is your typical, generic cricketer who will boast that they played a game or so at international level (albeit in lucky circumstances), but will spend 99% of their career at Sydney club cricket and will be in and out of the state team before they eventually struggle to hold their place in the state team and will be out for good.
