The NZ cricket fans know what I mean.
Ross Taylor said:"I got out on the far side of the boundary and they were all congratulating him (fielder) and I was walking off as fast I could," Taylor said.
yeh, don't let the facts get in the way of a good whinge.
We seem to beat our chests and say how we always play to win, now some want to just bat out a draw?? Hopefully Smithy wont have that mentality.
We are never gonna know if we don't declare. Kiwis have no chance of running down 320+ in 50 odd overs. But they may have a crack, have to play risky shots , wickets will fall. If they get the runs so be it, we go to Adelaide 1-1. Would be a great end to the test whoever won it. Isnt that what we want?
Id be disappointed if we didn't have a go
That's probably the bit I agree with, tbh. I don't give a shit about celebrating. I thought Faulkner and Haddin acted like merkins in that final (although no surprises there), however, with the over the top send offs of completely inoffensive players (e.g. Elliot and Vettori). Celebrate with gusto, but sending someone off, particularly when they've done nothing to deserve it, is shitty behaviour.Dirk Nannes spent about 20 minutes this afternoon lambasting the way Australia plays, and just came across as a whinging bore.
Said he just wanted a team he and his son could be proud of. He was even critical of how enthusiastically the Aussies celebrated wickets in the World Cup final this year. I mean FFS.
Agreed. Bat for a while and maybe token declaration when the game is out of reach.I really dont see why Smith would want to give the Kiwis a sniff as we are already 1 up.
Fortunately for us we won the toss and this gives as an advantage to dictate terms so I am not sure why you would throw that advantage away especially on a pitch favoring the batsmen.
