2nd Test - Australia v New Zealand Hobart Dec 9 - Dec 13 2011

I hate this pitch.

The selectors and co all now think Siddle is an awesome bowler, a pitch in which a chump like Michael Lewis could look good bowling on.

Then when the Indians come with their good batting line up Siddle will get f*ck all wickets and look like sh*t.

Taylor is plumb you're out and he's being a mouthy prick

Why would you need a 4th one on such a good pitch. The better pitch it is the less bowlers you should need. This is precisely the kind of pitch we don't need a 4th

Once again showing you have NFI about cricket

1- He's an all rounder so you lose nothing with the batting
2- He provides relief for the main bowler
3- He provides variation

The fact there's so much debate suggests he should've been given benefit of the doubt, but I wouldn't say he was shafted. When a flip of the coin goes against you it's just unlucky.

Yep, fair enough... I haven't seen it, so can't comment... but the comments here suggest doubt... so, suggests to me that the original decision should have stood?

Taylor gone too?

The app is on iphone and ipad.

If the umps onfield decision was not out because it was going down leg and judged that the batsman didn't get an inside edge, then with the doubt in the hotspot it would have gone back to onfield umpires decision which was he didn't hit it.

And now Taylor's gone.

I suppose that's what seperates Dravid from the rest. On tracks like this you have to play extremely late and that's what Dravid does.

It will be a road after lunch, don't you know anything TT????

Shittle has Taylor.

I believe the real reason Vettori isn't playing is so that Harry Potter can weave his magic and turn the pitch in to an Adelaide road after lunch

At least Siddle is getting the job done in bowling conditions though we all know Johnson would be shit.

Siddle's bowling today says to me he might be afraid to pitch it up consistently in lesser conditions

You really need the reflexes of a fighter pilot to pull it off too. Agreed, that's what makes Dravid so special.

It's not a green wicket hey you dope
In hindsight it's actually fairly green...I thought the photos I saw yesterday were lying/exaggerating.
It's called fatigue you idiot. Yeah it'd be ace if we roll them in 30 overs. A fourth seamer would be ideal.

'Precisely the pitch where you don't need a 4th seamer'?? I'd hate to see the one in which you do.
You need more bowlers on roads. Where you are more likely to bowl for a long time. Where it's easier to bat so an extra long batting order isn't necessary.

On a green pitch like this, you need a long batting order. With wickets being so easy to come by you don't need 2892828 bowlers. With it being so hard to bat on you need as many full time batsmen as possible.

lol @ Taylor. 3rd failure. Odds are pretty high Hughes finishes this series with more runs than him. My initial gut feeling was hitting too high, but couldn't happen to a nicer bloke. And lol but Siddle is an ugly f**ker.

Like a pitch that does a bit and gives everyone an equal chance, but this is a bad test wicket.

No Vettori either so the mid innings resistance won't be coming. NZ will be lucky to make 100.

FOr us to compete we need everything to go our way - last thing we can handle is 50:50 going against us... and despite appearances, big Jesse could get in and bat all day...

Test ends Sunday, I reckon

in all honesty, we'd probably be the same

no one could bat on this pitch, its really is a bit extreme

I bet the Kiwi batsman can't wait till lunch, then magically the pitch is going to turn into a road

Our bowlers can make any pitch look like a road, just as our batters can make any pitch look like a minefield... and ordinary pace bowlers look like world beaters...

when India arrive, you should consider all of the above

I was taking the piss out of BunniesTard, i agree these are perfect bowling conditions and i also know how limited Siddle is. Bowling to the Indians will be a totally different story. Southee and Mertin would have been hard to face on here as well.

I'm certain it was out, but yes there was a bit of doubt so although the ultimate decision was correct he was unlucky to have the decision reversed.

Hot spot showed a spot on the edge but I don't see where he hit it.

Oh, and Taylor is a little bitch.

Yeah you do lol. I can't blame the batsmen as they really are trying out there. It's just one of those pitches where the bowlers will shine on if they pitch the ball up.
