that last ball from Starc just about rolled along the ground

this pitch is arse, not fit for test cricket imo

So it really is that bad to bat on? I've just got Cricinfo open, would much rather be down the pub than in the office

Starc is wasting this opportunity imo, not asking enough questions

too short or too full

For sure although this one might be doing just a fraction too much. Still, I'd rather this than a road.

Pitches that give equal opportunity are what test cricket needs. If you bowl well ou get rewarded, if you bat well you get rewarded.

This one is a little too extreme on the bowlers side. As long as it stays consistent though.

Agreed, i'd rather watch a contest than Batsman continuing to fill their boots on roads.

Another hour to go

There was a game in NZ about 10 years ago against India where only one team total in 4 innings was above 100, that's better than 5/600 dec and the other team 500 in reply

I like having a range of pitches, the only pitches I don't like are roads. However, I have a preference for bowling/bowlers to batting/batters

Yes I remember that. We rolled them for 99 and then they rolled us for 94. Those were they days where nearly all of our tracks were green tops and if they weren't green tops they were crappy drop in pitches.

Pitch is already starting to die out. I was right. We need at least one more wicket before lunch or they'll be in a position to cash in.
