Good to see Hughes fixed his "technique" in a day, and then lost it again the next day.....

 at Hughes... seriously... WTF

Chris Martin's bitch :sarcasm:

And about as assured as Tommy with the bat in hand!

At least the likes of Dean Jones and Andrew Hilditch had their arses handed to them by Richard Hadlee... it even took a fairly potent attack to destroy Kim Hughes... but while there's a lot to like about Tommy, he's no more than a very honest toiler

I admire the way Hughes tried to dig in and bat for his career yesterday, but the bottom line is he got out twice on his way to 20 against a bowling attack that is probably only better than the Bangers and the Zimbos among Test playing nations.

He is not good enough at the moment. Maybe one day, after about a million Shield runs, he will be, but at the moment he's not.

He must be punted, for his own good.

And the nuffys talking about technical changes taking years. Hughes has fixed a pretty major flaw in 1 day. Defending straight back down the wicket instead of to point/cover was one of his biggest flaws. The other was not leaving often enough.

Both things he's fixed in 1 day, not 1 year.

lolololol

Hard to argue a case for Hughes avoiding the axe, But surely if you are 37 and haven't scored a 100 in 29 in innings pressure must soon be applied?????

Sounds like these are some seriously tough battimg conditions-need a good partnership between these two. NZ bowling well

Thanx for twizzle for bringing up bunniesman gold.:lol:

Warner has impressed me, even when he got out cheaply. He looks like he wants to play for his country, unlike some batsmen in the past who just assumed their place is a given. Khawaja has the same look about him.

This on Cricinfo: Warner's experiencing some discomfort, not sure where. Might be his back, and he's having a word with the physio.

Hopefully it's not serious, he's a key player here
