It's not that f**ken green. It's not "a green wicket". f**kwits saw one blade of grass and are making it sound like hell on earth for batsmen. It'll be a road for the majority of first day. First session might be a little dodgy but if the openers get through it, they'll capitalise.

Ha you seen the pitch in person have you?

So a green wicket will dry out in one session in that Sunny place Tassie??? What you know about the game of cricket you could write on the back of a canaries knuckle.

It'll be scorching down in Tassie with a high of 24 degrees and the predicted rain should dry things out even more

People always exaggerate pitches in Australia. They are never as bad as they sound.

In other news, read a journo who said Hughes was shit in the nets yesterday but with the confidence of hearing his name in the 11 he was superb today.

Whatever Hughes is paying as top runscorer for us, it's overs. Put your money on him. Mark my words. Actually just found out, $11.00. BunniesMan will be rich!

He scores runs whenever his place is in doubt.

Well I'm going to take the word of your skip Michael Clarke and other people who have actually seen the pitch over yours which is basically you assuming that they aren't correct.

The weather doesn't look good down there and if there's green on the wicket it's going to play up. I love it. I'm sick of these 1200 run 3 innings tests

Pretty sure they had us 3 for 70 odd and that was after Ponting was dropped on 0. 4 for 70 odd with North to bat i doubt we would have got close.

He was dropped first or second ball iirc. We were definitely in strife prior to lunch then they 'capitulated' so hardly the best example that tour

"There's probably a concern there that if your frontline bowlers don't do the job with the new ball it could be quite a long day, but I'm confident.

Essentially, yep there's grass but if you don't get em early, you're stuffed. Which is what I've been saying.

I'm sure you could pull up the cricinfo commentary of that ball, if you cared to look for it, same goes for the Cricket Australia commentary

Win the toss and bat, hope that Khawaja makes some runs, and I hope Warner makes a few, so they might dump Hughes to work on his technique.

the wicket is the 3 bits of wood sticking up out of the ground, never seen a green one yet

the pitch is the strip of turf that they play on to which you are referring

have you ever played on one ?
