So we have one test left before India and our main spinner looks cooked, the backup is 32 and has played 3 tests, and the selectors had a chance to give Zampa a go in turning conditions but went with some balding genius instead.

I like Zampa as an ODI bowler but his FC average is pretty pathetic. He probably hould get a chance in Tests at some stage but India will tear him to shreds.

Plus he has the worst case of Cadel Evans syndrome since Cadel himself, I'm not sure he could handle the punishment he'd cop in the subcontinent

ffs we wouldn't need a part timer if Lyon was so ineffective, he puts so much pressure on our quicks because he is just so poor lately the quicks have to do it all on their own

Hazelwood has been better than Starc for a while now

Really like Sohail bizarre he didn't play the first test. Good bowler too from what Waqar says express in his earlier days but many injuries, similar pace to Hazelwood and Bird

I kind of felt like that was a bit of a veiled nod to the fact that maybe Lyon is on the nose. His captain doesn't have that much faith in him (rightly so) and the coaching staff feel they need more overs from someone else....

I think it depends on the pitches India throw up. If they just want to blow us away and roll out big turners Zampa could do some damage. If they are roads meant to go the distance I'd definitely keep him away
