It's a bloody travesty he has been given all the chances and a guy like doug bollinger has been shunned.
Doug the rug was good for one 5 over spell a match then he turned into Mitch Mark II.

Neither Starc or Johnson should be there.

Injuries have just really scrambled the situation to where the selectors have gone back to former players or prospects.
Starc has potential and considering the other options should not have been 'rotated'.

A prospect beats a proven under performer every time though.

Starc is almost 10 years younger.
yeah, Johnsons fortunate to be playing.

But half this thread is whinging about the rotation policy and baggy greens being handed out on street corners, and then you have complaints about Starc who really has done f**k all in the longer form of the game missing out.

I agree with Pete, neither should be there but injuries and a seeming dislike of Cutting means one of them is.

.

Their stats tell a different story.

While their economy rates are similar , bollinger out performs jonhson on strike rate & average easily.

He also has superior FC stats playing on much less friendy wickets than Johnson.

No one is complaining about new guys being given a go because of injury though.

Starc is playing because pattinson got injured. Johnson on the other hand is playing ( two tests now) because of the idiotic rotation policy.

But he shouldn't have been in the side in the first place.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Just too bad Billy Birmingham isn't doing anymore 12th Man albums. Would love to have heard him do a piss take of those bet365.com things

Hi Big Pete, how's the off season going? And so who do you think we should have bowling in their place? Personally I'd rather stick with Starc who has all the potential and youth on his side and just lacks experience. Johnson can't and will never change and only has unpredictability even though i do think the guy puts in 100% effort but just hasn't the goods.

Huh?

Are you trying to say the picture quality on WIN is good? If so I recommend a visit to your local optometrist. That or you're not watching on WIN.

No mate, thankfully I'm not on win or the brown acid... contrary to popular beliefs!

The SL's digging in. Time to break down the wall and Birdy get's his second. What a shat shot!

Bring back Ravi Ratnayake, Ramanyake, Jayasakera, Samarasakera

No sure if they were bowlers or batsmen, I just wanted to spill their names

Cutting.

Should have played the 2011 Gabba Test.

I'd take Starc over Johnson - MJ should never have been in the frame but it wasn't like Starc deserved to be there in the first place & aside from bowling out the tail, hasn't done anything of note.

What I like about Bird is he has a very sustainable action. Reminds me of Siddle. You can see him bowling long spells.

What about hedrivesfastcaars, peanutbutterjars, doubledeckerbus, mohammad hasabiggen

But seriously forget rotation, how the hell was Hastings preferred to Bird......but they keep their jobs.
