I don't understand why lunch and tea breaks are called when it's rained all f**king day. Just get on with it FFA.
There has to soon be some common sense implemented at test level.

in this case they still need to work on the field, so this lunch break is a good thing, we won't get much more than a couple of hours play though, so they better not schedule a tea break:fist:

They reckon there is a 3 hour window where play will be possible, sounds like it is going to be operation survive..

Another great captain's knock with the game in the balance... he'll hit a century in the aussie summer when we are dominating NZ though so not to worry.

Hopefully Hussey has come to play today. If I could pick batsman in this current side to be striding out in this situation it is him TBH. In form or not he tends to rise to the occasion when called upon

I get a lot of those types of all fluff but no substance responses when criticising Clarke.

Seriously, when has the bloke made runs to win us a test match? The bloke makes his scores when we are either already well in front, or way behind and only a hope of a draw.

For all the criticism Punter gets he has still managed to pull out an innings when we need him to with semi-regularity.

Game was in the balance during the first innings in the first game of the series yet he hit a glorious 151.

Too bad he doesn't care about it.

A script Hollywood would love. Gritty veteran fighting to save his career. Say Hussey and Haddin get out soonish and he has to get 100 odd batting with the tail. Could be the miracle he needs to play another 3 years.

A first inning century followed by a 2nd innings 2 when the chips were down and the game was REALLY on the line.

Seriously, go back through his centuries. Next to none in the 2nd innings, and NONE to win us a game.

His best bat was probably carving out a century to save a draw in the last ashes series which was an unquestionably brilliant innings. But performances like that to actually win us a match are few and far between.

Why people lay the boot into Ponting but seem to love Clarke baffles me.
