Hard to pick. That was probably one of the most encouraging performances I have seen for a long time.

3- Egan
2- Martin
1- Walker

HM- Tevaga, Johnson, Tuaupiki, Fonua-Blake, Montoya, Harris, Barnett...all of them probably deserve points. Seriously, I wouldn't begrudge anyone points...not even Pompey. Well, maybe Pompey. But he was pretty good by his standards, especially in the first hour.

I think I want to see Nicoll-Klokstad in the centres next week. Leave the kid at fullback. Looks special.

Tuaupiki
Kosi
CNK
Vailea
Montoya

Best game since we beat the Rabbits in Perth under Kearney round one twenty eighteen, and this was even better because it was against a team at home in front of their own fans.

Webster out coached Payten, which delights me because lots of sooks were Payten sympathizers here even though he stuck the boot in when we gave him an offer.

We flogged the cows, bashed them out of the game, and they were clueless, we made them look like a hapless Warriors outfit.

More importantly we are in game three...two wins one loss. and looking to be building for the year into a very tough outfit to play.

3. SJ
2. Tohu
1. Barnett

Loved the discipline and toughness. Didn't panic and stuck to the plan which SJ led. Really excited to see where coach takes us.

Like Meth, I thought this one was super tough to pick.

3 - Egan - tough, smart and so hardworking.
2- Barnett - good signing
1 - Montoya. - most complete winger we have had for a long time.

HM - pretty much the rest of them. Now here's a shit sandwich. Nice to see Ale get some decent minutes, not nice to see Pompey throw a stupid offload when we are trying to close out a game, nice to see Taupiki play a pretty solid debut. Sean made some really important tackles too!

3 - SJ
2 - Harris
1 - Egan

HMs to the rest of the team (including Pompey because that try he laid on for Kosi was special)

Yep a doozy to pick.

3. Egan - on fire again, seems to be everywhere.
2. Walker - we seem to find another dimension on attack with him out there
1. Montoya - like a Duracell bunny

3. SJ
2. Walker
1. TMM

SJ was top notch today. Directed team around all day. We’re a different team when he runs at the line. Thought TMM really helped him out and ran a few early ones keeping their D 2nd guessing. Starting to develop a good combo.
Walker changed things up when he came on after 20mins. Gave us a point of difference on attack and some staunch in defence. Cows didn’t score again after he came on.
I love how Kosi is doing the little things right by playing hard and keeping it simple.
Our forwards were monsters!!

Many deserving, just got to give SJ the treats for actually playing like he should....

New coach, hopefully has a different view on 9
Tevaga went great off the bench in his impact forward role so hopefully they don’t mess with that. Webster really seems to have the forward rotation humming

Excellent team effort by your blokes yesterday.

Webster while in the shadows at Penrith was credited with a set play that was ultimately the difference in the 2021 prelim vs the Storm.

In Panthers doco you see him bring up that Junior Paulo's stats go to shit when he is forced to make early tackles.

The high kick to the corner to trap the winger is pure Pantherball and if you go on a good run of wins the refs will stop penalising the subsequent rushing defence.

You will start noticing that plays four and five in a non goal line attacking set will soon be all about preparing for the kick. A quick PTB on either tackle to give SJ time and space to land the ball where he wants.

Defend that set well without a penalty and get the ball back on your forty and repeat over and over until the other side breaks which usually happens fifty minutes in.
