Yes I don't criticise them 2 as much as Beale because their good things far outweigh the bad, particularly Holmes.

Bird is getting there.

Beale shouldve handled it a bit better imo....if he was a winger, maybe he would've.

Haha

I note Holmes and bird escaped any criticism for their switcheroo where we just handed the ball back to the cows

Sacred cows and all.......

Probably because he's about 20 and still learning , he's going to have the odd f**kup but he can feed the shire with one fish

Lol

So Beale is unique amongst wingers in having to nullify an attacking kick by taking it

Hahaha

Don't worry about looking at his feet or hands, just look at his face.

He was confused as to what to do....he's very experienced, shouldn't look that way...should be sure of himself with his experience.

I could've cost us....

he wasnt confused at all. He knew exactly what to do. It just pained him to have to do it. He ran flat stick from 20 metres in field directly at the ball & did exactly what he had to do.
If he had have had his Blade Air Brakes on, he might not have gone into touch.
It was experienced Centre/wing play & directly lead to our try.

So he should have been standing waiting outside the touch line.......just in case....so he could attack the ball from the outside in

Brilliant

Where in what I said gives you any information that I think he should be standing outside the field of play?

you're a deadest halfwit

Watch how wingers attack kicks to the corner

Come from the sideline, IN THE FIELD OF PLAY, towards the ball

tell me a scenario where the opposite, which Beale did, is acceptable?

Temper temper precious

If he was to " attack the ball from the outside in" he would have needed to be standing on the outside of the touchline

You just need a villain of the week to bag

He caught the ball which was basically coming straight down, less than 1 metre off the touchline. How was he supposed to come outside in ? Are we talking about the same thing here?

it's about positioning for the catch

which way was he facing when he caught the kick?

break it down for me, tell me your thoughts on the play?

I don't need a villain, quite the opposite actually

gets pretty tiring arguing a point with half wits like yourself just because you feel you need to take the opposing argument

let it go, it was a monumental error, there is no argument

but go on....as you will

as above

positioning for the kick to come away from the side line

looking at the Peter burns stand giving the crowd a wave isn't that position

Far be it from little Ol' me to take on the most prolific arm chair coach on this forum but I will have a go

The kick landed a yard inside the touch line with a bunch of Cowboys bearing down on it
Beale caught the ball and inevitably his momentum carried him into touch

Defusing kicks, particularly good ones, often forces an adverse outcome

The best that can be done in such a situation is remove the potential for a scoring play by taking the ball out of play

It happens every game

You need to watch more than highlight reels

Beale had to take the catch. If he doesn't and it bounces back into a Cowboys players hands, he'd be the worst person in the world in here.

So much Beale hate because he replaced Leutele. You could make any argument in the world but because this is a chance to bag Beale birdie won't listen.

Just relax and enjoy the wins Biride. Beales going to play centre for a grand final winning Sharks team. It's a great thing.

Let's look at it another way.
If leutele was playing on the wing, he would most likely get no where near it, and the ball bounces somewhere, or if he did catch it facing the opposite direction to Beale gets tackled over the sideline, rather than sliding.
Same same. If it was feki who knows what would have happened? Holmes likely catches it, springs off Ethan lowes shoulder and runs away for a try.

The important factor in all this is they didn't score. We should back our defence in 50/50 moments like that.
